I'm happy with my build, but I must admit. Something bugs me.

It has 1325 hp. I'de rather not disclose my build, as I don't want people copying it lol. I finally turned away from using the Ring of Favor so I could have 2 ring slots open, which I must admit is pretty fun thinking about which rings I should use each battle.

Anyway, is that an ok amount of hp for pvp o.O? Cuz I sure as hell can't take too many hits despite having pretty good defenses.

all my builds roll with 1400 about. i use 45 vit on my builds, and i use the chaos blade which drains 20hp per hit, so after 5 hits im at your life.

i have zero issues with the life, i know many people here feel you need 1800+ to compete but that just isn't true.

The hp is not really an important matter if you can avoid most of the damage. Hell, if you were to be a top notch pro at dodging 500 hp would do. But that should be enough if you know what you're doing. Remember that there are no bad builds, only your own builds.

as long as you are having fun, enjoy the build and win half or more of your matches then its a great build imo.

any one can make a OHKO build with 2000+HP and win 90% or more of their games, but who honestly has fun with that?

its about fun, i lose alot of matches to people who just have so much life and then get me in 2 hits, but oh well. before they hit me 2x i hit them 10+, so if they want to believe they are pro and rofl stomped me thats cool.

As much as I want to agree with you guys...I just can't.

A build with a HP that low can only take 2-3 Great Combustion (for example) hits before biting the dust. The minimum HP you should have in the PvP environment is 1500. Any lower and you should be using a Glass Cannon build.

This is only my OPINION and of course the whole point is to have fun as my fellow forum goers have already stated above.

lol. i would lose 90% of my duels by that logic on my Dex build. I usually agree with all your posts but not this time.

Well, thing is, i only really said, if you can handle your rolls, then you could go as far as to live with only 500 hp. Does not mean it's advisable.

I prefer having 1800 hp. But that's because i use the dragon body, so i defense/poise.
But i've been ditching the FaP ring and going with 1500 hp on some of my builds, so far that hasn't changed my win/lose ratio at all.

@Spurgun That's pretty much what I think, my HP has to hit at the very minimum 1500 for PvP

i also believe the RTSR makes up for it because when i get low your high life suddenly becomes low also.

if Reim is on his Mura build hes usually unstoppable from what i have seen.

I can vouch for Reim's ownage. He's pretty good with that Murakumo.

Hey, I never run above 1500 hp - in fact only two of my builds run that. One of those is SL300-ish

Dodging having never used the DWGR is easy af, I can execute the same I-frames with my fast roll and generally not get touched. I run 0 poise with 1320 hp frequently. It is more than enough. Sometimes I feel it is too much.

1325 is more than enough HP

my str build has the same hp and i do alright.

Vitality is very dependent on your build. For example, if you are very mobile and powerful/fast, then low vitality will do.

In general, 1300 HP should be fine. It should save you from most OHK BS.

Sorry Reim i talked you up pretty good.. you better not make me a liar.

I look at it this way: Damage I can afford to take vs. Damage I'm putting out. On a Leo build where I'm trading damage to get extra counter damage for my attacks, which means I'm easily doubling the damage an opponent is able to do to me, I can afford to shave off some hp. If that makes sense.
