I've been making a Helghast costume for Halloween, and I was wondering if anyone here has had any previous experience modding and repainting the damned things. Anyone got tips?

Won't look too amazing. I went Miner, I wanted to do sniper but the coat/cloak was to odd to figure out

Well if I remember all of the Helgahst guns they were really plain and matt black....but then again..... Hmmm Im thinging about my Halloween Costume.....
I want to try a typical Gunslinger Roland because its simple and I have a pretty cool duster.... though Im also keen on a few other ideas.
When I repainted my stuff I used a Gamesworkshop Undercoating spray paint and then worked up from there.

Eddie in the gun fight against the guys who killed his brother (first one) would be an easier costume

flat color spray paint is usually a nice base for things like that. I did my boots and gloves for my powdered toast man costume a few years ago that way and it came out alright. You might want to put something over it first though. Like good masking tape or non-transparent packaging tape. I find that some plastics don't hold paint without flaking for very long, especially if you get them wet at all. My boots were peeling by the end of the night when I did it without covering it with something else first.
Yeah you too man. Couldn't stay away with the DLC coming out.

Viral you definitely need to. Plus the rest of the eight books.....
Anyway, I was hoping you'd read it already since it would be more funny that way. I'm sincerely sorry I put spoilers out there since they're my favorite books but if you actually want to know what he wore it was:
EDIT: Good to see you Plastic!

- Spoiler:
- Nothing. He was naked. I won't ruin it but I will make you MORE likely to keep reading. Roland has a very memorable and genuine quote regarding this scene. Enjoy
