    Beating you to a pulp over and over is so fun.
    People are summoning like crazy for the fight.
    I got summoned almost immidietly after laying down my sign then almost immidietly afterwa-- HERES ANOTHER SUMMON OH GOD!!

    I'm not surprised. Artorias killed me like 5 times when I first tried to beat him. I ended up having to summon someone for help lol. He's fast and hits so hard when he manages to buff himself.

    Where do people put their summon signs for that boss? Right at the fog gate?

    Yeah that's where most of the signs I see are placed, at least that's how it is for me on pc.

    I really didn't think he was all that tough. I just beat him on my first try......naked. He was fun though. Actually Im having a lot of fun in general.

    Im playing at SL117 and there were tons of signs right before his gate

    Arty was fun.
    1st- Nearly killed him, he never buffed, I died.
    2nd- Buff, buff, splatter
    3rd- Same as 2nd but even faster
    4th- VICTORY

    The fight is rather depressing though. You can hear him wheezing and moaning the entire battle.

    I definitely thought the whole thing was cool. Especially finally seeing, not only something I've been hearing about from PC users, but a character we've all been hearing about in the game itself from the beginning. I just didn't think he was all that tough. I was fighting naked with Havel's Shield and he didn't damage me at all. I actually had more trouble with the Guardian. He killed me twice with his AoE's.

    Artorias is easier with a good shield, but he's not that easy to dodge.

    During the whole cutscene and battle, he sounds monstrous and feral. His final death scream is what really got to me sad It sounds so heartbreakingly human. I have to say Artorias is my favorite boss.

    How to:

    Artorias of the Abyss
    New Game Plus+8 Guide

    1. Make sure to have: The Greatshield of Artorias
    2. Have a crazy OP weapon.
    3. Do not wear any fracking armor as he will rip through your stability if you try to tank him. You just want the 88stab shield for the initial combos he can do.
    4. Green Blossoms
    5. Pyromancy: Power Within
    6. ????
    7. Profit or Death

    It can go either way!

    I'm on my 6th attempt of artorias, sl50 mage. 9str/13dex. this is extremely difficult. I seriously do not think i could manage a low level fight against him, an i've done the game base level with no elemental weapons/poise/or DWGR. Him and Ornstein both us the wifi from their smartphones for their internet connection...

    lol He's actually quite easy. Ive killed him about 7 times now. He's surprisingly weak to magic, ESPECIALLY the crystal ones

    What makes you think i have crystal magic at SL50 lol, i beat him right after i posted that though. He would be easy if i had more then just the heater shield and 15end. Also you already mentioned you are co-oping him, not solo lol.

    Did anyone else notice how much more damage you do to him if your weapon is divine or has a holy mod on it? I was doing like 120 per hit with a silver knight spear

    I did it at SL50, with 1325hp,15END,9STR,13DEX,16INT. My great soul arrows barely did anything, and my chaos falchion was doing about 30-50 i forget. I basically couldn't heal except for when he buffed, cause he would just summersault me to death. Fun fight, i think he will be more fun for you guys in NG+ with higher level builds. I like that a lot of the enemies/bosses in the DLC are made to punish healing. I started running through for my second go with my SL100 dex character, and i'm just steamrolling everything. I love the new spear weapon <3. Goes so well with a great scythe. I have an angry gardener build going, it is awesome.
