    Special weapons duration

    Well that's some annoying thing....when you use the special attack from a cool weapon (Dragon greatsword...etc) the duration of the weapon goes down by a lot....alright that's fair...but DRAGONSLYER SPEAR???! come on...I can't imagine orstein saying "Oh dragon wait a moment i've got to repair my spear n.n) T_T what do you think??? well I use my moonlight sword and all my spell slots are for repairing that weapon...so I can explode people all day....still I don't think that's right....

    If the special attacks didn't deplete the durability more rapidly, people would just spam Moonlight Greatsword R2s and Golem Axe R2s even more than they already do. There has to be a limit to it, one way or another.

    Repair powders are cheap; stock up.

    This, I see enough R2 spam with these weapons as it is.
    TBH From should have just got their fingers out and made these weapons have a charge system, each R2 uses one charge and the weapons have a balanced amount of charges. Makes more sense imo, but of course, this would have taken time and effort like implementing all the stuff they cut out (probobly the publishers fault and not From to be fair, I hear they were pushing for major deadlines and early releases)

    LOL durability XD I'm sorry XD actually that would be cool, a charge system...not that durability stupid thing .....by the way...the greatsword that you get from Gywn's soul....sucks...I just used it (I have like 5 of them) and I thought it did something really cool..but noo (quelaag's furysword it's better)...

    oh I have a question...I have every kind of zweilhander possible (chaos, lighting, +15, raw, occult....but i saw this guy that had a zwei with a base dmg of 700 O_o ok I do 700-800 dmg but every zwei I have is around 300-325 dmg was he hacking??? or there´s a way?

    Gwyn's sword is a bit underwhelming, mostly because of its abysmal R2 attack, but at 40 str and 40 dex it's strong. It also has great reach. With the Greatsword R1 nerf though, this sword will become all but useless.

    No weapon does 700 base damage. Not even close. At 40 str and 40 dex a +15 Zweihander does 610 AR.

    The Chaos Blade is better than the Furysword... in my opinion at least. The Furysword's fire damage is nerfed with the new patch I read.

    umm smoughs mammer might reach that high... and so might the demon great machete... but a zweihander? he'd have to have multiple ar boosters in effect...

    At +5, Smough's Hammer does 450 base damage, plus scaling. Base damage is the damage a weapon does without the scaling factored in.

    For example, the Dragon King Greataxe does 570 base damage and has no damage bonus from stats.

    The base damage of a +15 Zweihander is 325.

    yeah, nothing has 700 base damage but things can get 700 ar total with scaling... course a +15 zwei can't reach that at 99 str as far as i can tell... maybe it was crystal?
