[First character ever] Good build?

So I bought the game for PC a few weeks ago, saw some guides, wikis, etc and tried to make a build of my own.

I think that what's left to do now is the archives area and I'll move on to NG+.

Now my questions to you, veterans of this amazing game: Is my build is a viable one?

And on a next note, I'm trying to chose between Black Knight Greataxe (and going STR) or going with Murakuma (and going DEX). I like the feeling of both but I would also like to be more agile in PVP and with that in mind, I thinking on going DEX with Murakuma +15 (I read that its better than Fire/Lightning for a Dex build all the way). Or I can just bulk it up and go STR with a massive armor.

Any critics, suggestions and so on will be appreciated

putting a shield on the right hand and a sword on the left one is an interesting idea, but im not sure its gonna work very well

You don't need the wolf ring as the armour your wearing gives you more than enough poise. If you have the clonithy ring I'd swap out for that as you would never run out of stamina. As for going for dex when you have 28 stg I don't know. Some weapons scale with both stats so you could take dex up. Will you be stopping at 100 or going on to higher soul lvl. I'm making a build very like this with light armour and the ziewi for the new content, can't post as on a tablet and its a bit of pain to do.

Here is the biggest tip I can give, EXPERIMENTATION.

Yeah, 86 that Wolf Ring. Just so you know, you're going to get mad hated on in PvP with that build.

I think I'm going all the way up, so yeah I think I'll try to reach the max SL. I'm also searching for an alternative armor where I can ease my equip burden so I can roll quicker (so I can get lighter than mid roll). Any thoughts about that?

Why do you claim that?

Havels and giants armour is the preferred uniform of gankers and noobs who also wear masks have high Vit and End use the ninja flip ring and elemental weapons so they can have min str and dex and still hit hard. But that does not mean it shouldn't be used in build like yours. If anything if a patch comes for PS and Xbox your version of the build will be ok. Try black iron and elite knight with bits of havels. The paladin body is very good for weight protection as good as black iron for less weight if I remember correctly. Some players use bits of light armour like the skirts for the added magic and elemental damage they give.

i think its ok if youre going for the bk weapons but for now i would do this http://tinyurl.com/c6xwed8 and two hand the msgs which is a beast. if you wanna go with the mura maybe do this http://tinyurl.com/c4fy777 but it all depends on what level you wanna pvp at, you could always take it up to sl 200. also the ony reason people dont like heavy armors is because with the flip ring is was very easy to flip and have tons of poise but since youre med roling people dont care anymore.

leave strength at 28, and put the rest of your points into dex then you can use a Mura, you also will want to get rid of ele weapons.

if you plan on going to SL100 for pvp get your dex to 37 and switch to +15 weapons. don't put any more into strength, 28 is a perfect number for that.
