    (Will use the term organized PVP instead of dueling due to the DLC)
    Anyways, I'll start by showing off an extremely quick, cheap way to full heal yourself without items:

    14 Faith + Thoruland Talisman + Great Heal Excerpt = 1500 HP

    An extremely effective way to get back at full strength by using around 5 stat points to do it. A dedicated faith build could opt for Great Heal; giving 2 more casts.

    But now, this brings in the question. What is your opinion on this method of healing? I have never seen this miracle used or its lesser counterpart (Heal which, compared to Excerpt, actually heals more in the long run and has less stats required). I have seen Replenishment cast just before fights, but it seems no one has dared to use healing mid-fight (I know this isn't a case of "it's hard to do it" because I have tried with it, and it has worked many a times) which, to me, feels like a waste of a good miracle with adequate drawbacks. It bumps tanks up since they can gain obscene amounts of health to stay in the fight and also have the poise to resist interruption.

    In the times I have used miracle healing, I was at times given a "point down" rather than a bow, as if I had done wrong in the art of organized PVP (I am aware of different opinions on "honor"); in some cases, my opponent decided that if I healed using a miracle, he could heal using Humanity (implying it was the same deal).

    I mean, not even here have I heard anyone suggest a healing miracle to complement tank builds with low faith nor have I seen a healing miracle included in builds posted here, even on dedicated faith builds!

    If you aren't getting BSed while doing this long miracle you probably deserve the heal lol I think most people are cool with healing by miracle because it takes longer than humanity or estus healing and is easily punished.

    Not getting BSed is easy: Put your back to the wall. Most times, people will waste time trying to go for it...and fail.

    i think allot more builds will add this for the arena, not too much investment all of a sudden, you can go 2 fights or 3 and heal when your opponent is defeated the first or second time....i personally think they should have just had a health reset for each player if it is 1V1.... it seems like a weird system otherwise....

    If you are rocking the poise and put your back against the wall, I will probably get upset. Otherwise, if you actually have the distance from me to pull it off, then, well, that is my own damn fault.

    But, I also play by the rule: you heal, I heal. In DeS, I did that, even if I had a full health bar.

    Pulling off a heal miracle in mid-fight is way different than popping a humanity. The miracle takes a long time to cast and it is part of your build. You invested the stats for it. A humanity everyone has. I think it's completely feasible and ok to heal during honor duels, but most people will act butt-hurt, which is a shame, because it would add interest.

    I think it's totally fair healing with a miracle mid-fight, it's pretty easy to punish or if you've made the same investment as your opponent when you see them start to cast you can heal too. So you can probably negate the heal by inflicting damage or even the playing field by healing too

    But is there, to you, any difference between healing with a miracle than healing with items? Humanity is a guaranteed, quick full heal that will (on a really small scale) increase your defense. Miracles take long to start and are quite long to recover from afterwards, on top that it requires an attunement slot to even have. While healing miracles will only full heal those that are around the 1500 mark (in truth, Thoruland talisman only heals 1325), humanity can heal 1900 and even more with less drawbacks.

    If you manage to get in an unpunished heal cast against me then i have nobody to blame but myself...

    On a different note i agree that there should be an HP reset between fights in the arena. That or the ability to heal should be disabled during that time.

    can't you just kick someone mid cast to interupt it? or use the golem axe r2, for str builds its a free r2 attack which will probably stagger and cancel the heal.
