I rarely stick with any of the starting equipment, and i rarely face people that do either, apart from the wanderer and thief sets. But i was really just wondering, are the starting sets like the warrior set any good once they're maxed? I mean, can they compete with the other sets? Cause i was considering making a lowbie pvp/co-op character with the warrior set once the DLC comes out.

Edit: I really want to be able to compete with the people that has bb glitched without using havel, giants or anything alike.

The Pyromancer's starting gear is great when maxed out. I use the gloves and boots with my Dingy Robe. I like the female version a lot more, though.

I don't like the Warrior armor because only the helmet has poise. None of the other pieces have poise, and it just doesn't makes sense to me because the Chain Mail weighs slightly more, and has poise. I'd go for the Knight's gear over the Warrior's, but that's me.

Ha, yeah, i can't say i like that myself, i'll probably have the wolf ring replace that if necessary, if i do use that set or even make that character, that is.

Edit: Thing is though, i really like the set without the helmet. Kind of has you looking like a general somehow, and it really just looks boss. silly

Ill assume the rest of the armor stats are well because the legs compared nicely to that of the wanderers(at least for physical damage).

I still wear the Sorcerer Starting Set. Almost every piece of armor is good so long as you know what you want and invest in them.

The warrior set used to be better before patch. But then the hard leather gauntlets got patched.

Female theif set is completely black. Black helps you blend better with fog ring most of the time.8)

I did that on pc. I ran an sl 7 Warrior through NG. He does Burg co-op in his Warrior gear, armor is +10 and the rest is +8, I think. If you want a fast roll it'll take FaP and Havel's though, so poise is practically non-existent. Invaders have the same issue though.

I was thinking more lvl 50. But i did make the set +10 just to see the stats and it's actually quite good, considering. So i am working on a build for it. Also, like always i want to say,
a great thanks to you guys for your replies, it's always appreciated. Bow
