So it's low poise, no flip ring. I'll be carrying charcoal/poison buffs as well as opening with DMB. The other spells are auxillary and I probably won't use them much. I generally hate WoG and refuse to use it unless I see an opening to kill the host and 2 phantoms silly Cause I hate gankers more than WoG spam!

Crest shield for maintaining a relentless offense and to support stamina regen while trying to build up the bleed meter. The Shotel is for surprising turtles and parrying for big damage. I'm considering whether or not to switch one of my rings out for the wolf ring/ DWGR but I dunno.

btw I know that wanderer would have been the most the most efficient class to start with for this build but I started planning the build after I started playing so meh. Class is Thief and it's staying so silly ATM I'm SL51 just pumping Dex/Vit/End.

http://tinyurl.com/9xp3385 Here's my suggestion for your desired set up. I assume you plan on menu swapping for the talisman.

1.Don't use elemental weapons if you have 40dex
2.Use short bow vs composite if you have high dex/low str
3.Only the shotels R2 ignores shields, so offhanding it wont do much against turtles.
4.You could go wolf over hornets, but with 31 poise you can take 1 hit from 2handed katana/straight sword without being staggered. And most 1h attacks from weapons, besides the larger str weapons.

Also consider using the Painting guardian sword, heres a set up for the same stats. You wouldnt be able to carry the bow though. You could replace Heal or WOG with Emit Force/Lightning Spear for some range attacks though. http://tinyurl.com/8oqcr5f

My bad the Bandit Knife is meant to be +15 and the Shotel is only Lightning cause I'll almost exclusively be parrying with it, I may not even upgrade it at all tbh. I think 9/10 of the time the bow will be swapped with the darkmoon talisman. I'll likely be bringing lots of other dex weapons that fit in with the stats to +14 and then to 15 as I get slabs.

Wolf vs. Hornets is a big question for me. There's some good added damage from Hornets and I.. sorta plan on not getting hit (lol..) So I could forego the extra poise I guess. I generally am good at avoiding hits from big str
weapons. So on rings I'll probably just play around and see how it goes.

Spells I will more than likely mix and match too. Should I lower Faith to 30 and add mroe vit? Or try and get Faith over 40? I don't really know how DMB scales and how much faith effects it's damage so I'm not totally sure how what to put or not.

Revised build? I took some of your suggestions in here, what do you think?

I don't have much advice on this because i'm not very good with builds, but i just wanted to point something out here real quick. If you're really confident enough to remove poise because you probably won't be hit you shouldn't have to worry about your hp as much either, as you plan on not getting hit.

Just wanted to point that out, so other than that, good luck!

Touche, good point. HP is sorta like insurance though There's been quite a few times where I've been able to take 3 hits from some big, buffed str weaps and rolled out of the stun lock before the kill swing landed then rolled in for the BS finish. I certainly wouldn't go under 40 vit, I didn't mean I don't get hit. I just meant that I can generally avoid getting hit by big weaps, so having high poise wouldn't matter as much I guess or at least not as much as the extra crit damage from Hornets.

Was just pointing it out. Though, with low poise, that health could easily vanish quickly if you get stunlocked, so the hp wouldn't matter too much in the end, would it?

    125 Thief Build
    Removed mom mask
    Removed Heal
    Maxed Out Faith for DMB/SLB
    Wolf>Fap for this build
    Removed Shotel added Black Flame

    Reasons:
Mom mask is ugly as hell and the dusk crown adds to the power of Black Flame (use Great combustion until Oct 23rd)
Heal is pointless to use once you are in a fight. So I added the pyro for knocking guards down.
Since you are deciding to buff, you might as well go all the way. 50 faith adds 474/406 Magic or Zap dmg respectively.
1474 HP without the Fap ring or Mom mask.
Despite you not usually getting hit, you are bound to come up against guys who will make contact regardless of the weapon they use. 53 poise is a longer meter. A longer meter means less chance of getting stunned from greatswords,Kats, Halberds.
Kept the Hornet ring on. It is getting nerfed but still would fit this build well.
SLB because DMB Knife is useless against Crest Shield. I expect we will see more GMB users as well post patch, SLB covers this issue also.

The biggest change is the Buckler. Just eat grass if you need stam regen. The buckler is designed for parrying.

You could add 99 soft humanity if you really wanted to optimize it.

    Armor set looks cool together,

    Just some ideas for you.

Theo - can you make those links into a tiny url? There is a minimize button in the lower left corner that will do it for you.

why would you need high endurance when you are swinging a knife? It takes next to nothing from a stam bar to use.

so you can use other weapons, run, dodge etc? Dunno I like to have 40 endurance personally.

I think that's what I'm going to end up going with right there. Can still use plenty of other dex weapons too if I feel like swapping stuff around.

I think it is decent build, i agree that 40 end is always nice to have. Plus since you are using the RoFaP you have the max endurance possible. If you haven't tryed the Painting Guardian Sword while buffed, you will soon realize how amazing it is. It actually has one of(if not) the highest damage per second out of any weapon in the game. The amount of damage you can do in two-three swings is enormous. I'm pretty sure the Demons Greataxe has the highest AR out of any weapon in the game. With 99str/99dex the DGA does 712dmg,and PGS does 459dmg. Thing is you can get at least two, maybe three, hits in with the PGS in the time it takes to attack once with the DGA. So i might be wrong, but i believe the PGS has the highest damage per second out of every weapon in the game. It does have VERY short range though. It is surprisingly good at stunlocking, same with other curved swords(falchion is another great choice). I would really consider using the PGS or Falchion as your main over the bandits dagger, only downside is no kick.

Hmm I may just do it. I'm starting my game over anyways for the first time since the game came out I accidently raised the wrong stat! I was on the phone and didnt realize i was raising attunement instead of vit >.> BOOM 10 levels into attunement -_- Oh well xD

    EDIT

Optimized? Ignore the armor I haven't decided on that yet. Also not decided on wolf or hornet ring
