Does the Lost Izalith shortcut stay open for future playthroughs?

I'm referring to the shortcut to Lost Izalith that opens from the Chaos Servants. Does it remain open in future playthroughs or do you have to give the Daughter of Chaos 30 humanity every playthrough?

And if it does stay open for future playthroughs, will it also remain open if the covenant is abandoned?

You have to open it every playthrough but you can leave the cov and still have it open!

Just make sure to activate it!

Once you've opened the shortcut you will be able to open it each round without giving any additional humanity as long as you don't leave the covenant.

If at some point you leave the cov but want to re-open the shortcut you'll have to join again and donate humanity, but not the full 30... someone correct me, but I think it's cut in half, so it should be 15 humanity to rank back up to Chaos Servant+2.

Btw, don't forget to put the Old Witch's Ring on the first time you give the Fair Lady a humanity in each NG+. Her response is awesome.
