Grant Invader :D

Soul Level 61 IDEAL for invading Cata and ToTG. I use it almost exclusively in ToTG because in every other invasion area in this game, ones head gear can be anything. In Nito's House, you have to wear sunlight maggot or allow me to slap your skull lantern out of your hand.

I have read a lot lately on try hard builds and cookie cutter builds. So I went with a Grant, Fat roll, low vitality build with Zap Claymore mainly for one handing battles and parry.

If the host is alone (they usually are here) I play them two ways

Either they are suuuper aggresive and eat Grant's AoE attack followed up by either WoTG or a Clay swipe, or, they turtle and shy away which makes me knock them back 3 times in a row with WoTG to break the guard and here comes 2 swings of Grant locked off.

I was surprised when I found that even as a fat roll, I can catch up to flippers who try to flask and backstab them. I also can counter BS if I see it coming way ahead of time.

If I'm ganked than I pretty much let all 3 Wogs go with slight breaks in between casts. Zap Claymore 2 handed comes in more handy here than the Grant does.

I like the build and just figured I would post something different outside of the sl 120,99, Dex/Pyro common builds we see everyday for the last year lol.

Win rates are decent, but the wins feel so great as I'm always outmatched in speed and HP.

i love the grant, my leeroy build is my favourtie out of al of them, sadly i can only fast roll if im naked(dragon) since that thing is so damn heavy.

Awesome! You can try to parry with Grant equiped and quickly switch to both hands to land a riposte, allowing some more free space

If you get too low on health, switch Wolfs to Red tearstone! Pretty standard, but I can't imagine how much damage Grants WoG does with both rings equipped :shock:

I'm also amazed with that poise! 76 with two pieces of gear and no Havels?

Thanks Carphil. We don't see too many 76 poise no Havels/Giants set ups.

I could never switch to red tear quick enough unfortunately because most can 2 shot me if not one shot me which makes me feel ok using Wrath of the Gods if need be. Only one stack.

Oh and it is a rumor that Grant's AoE increases with Sun ring. I use that just for the miracle WoG as it does not increase the Grant's. Still, even within dusk crown and the sun ring, WoG doesn't hold a candle to the damage of the Grant AoE.

Even with the split damage it does pretty large dmg per swing on opponents. I could two hand Grant after the parry you're surely right there. Usually I'll use all 5 of my blasts and if they seem keen to avoiding the Grant smashes I will switch to Claymore.

I love my Grant adventures! How am I supposed to be like good 'ol Garl without Grant?
I use a similar build sometimes, but I wear different gear.
