Re: The Catacombs
Use a divine weapon to land the last hit, or kill the area necromancer, with a longbow you can kill almost every necro without engaging any skeleton... and yes, if kill the pinwheel, acquire the lord vessel and pass the tomb of giants you'll fight nito

Re: The Catacombs
Which weapon should I upgrade to Divine?
My two basic weapons are Zweihander +5 Lightning and regular Claymore but the Claymore can't be upgraded to Divine, and the Zweihander I don't know..

Re: The Catacombs
Both of then can be upgraded to divine if they are still +5, but my advice is to upgrade a weapon that isnt your main one, because if you are not a faith focused build the only place you're going to use the weapon is in the catacombs

Re: The Catacombs
Have you gotten to Anor Londo? If you have you gotten Havels Armor? In the same room there is an occult club. Just go to Andrai the Blacksmith and downgrade it to divine. No need to make your claymore a divine level.

Re: The Catacombs
That's the way to do it. You immediately have not only a divine weapon, you have a divine weapon +5 when you downgrade from occult. On top of that it's blunt damage, which is perfect for the skeletons.Pratix wrote:Have you gotten to Anor Londo? there is an occult club. Just go to Andrai the Blacksmith and downgrade it to divine.

On which weapon do you speak about? I've complete Anor Londo the whole area...
Which weapon should I upgrade? I don't have great weapons, the claymore and the zweihander are the best weapons I have.

Re: The Catacombs
In Anor Londo there is a secret room after the second bonfire where you get Havel's armor. In that same room there is an occult club, take it to the first Blacksmith. He will downgrade it to a divine club.
If you cant find it, search "Havels armor location" on youtube.

There is a hidden area in Anor Londo, right after the bonfire after the Silver Knight Archers. It's right below a chimney. You can hit the chimneyy, and the wall will disappear. There will be some stairs. Just go down, there will be 5 chests. Be careful, the chest most to the right, it's a Mimic Chest, you know those guys that attack you. Just hit all chest to be sure, then loot them.
There will be an Occult Club there. Go to Andrei the Blacksmith, then downgrade the Occult Club to Divine Club +5, and use it in tThe Catacombs.

Haha also you said that it's after the second bonfire, while technically it's the 3rd. That's why I said "the one after the Silver Knight Archers" and no the 2nd, because it may confuse people who know about the Darkmoon Bonfire.

Also the Astora straight sword, and silver knight spear will do the job if you have either of those

I guessed if he didn't know about the divine weapons or anything, then he wouldn't know about the Darkmoon Bonfire. I mean, I found out about it during the second playthrough. But whatevs' I'm out.

If you kill her (Gwynevere) he banishes, Anor Londo darkens, and you hear Gwyndolin saying to you that will be punished by Darkmoons. All Winged Demons disappear. All silver Knights stay except for the sniper at the main giant room. I'm not sure if the 2 Archers stay or not.
" Hostile NPCs appear in the center of the main giant room, they only respawn in patch 1.05 (consoles version), in PC they no longer respawn. If you're on console, they are a good way to farm souls.
The Firekeeper of Anor Londo (the woman you meet at he begininning) becomes hostile, and moves to the center of Anor Londo, right after the Rotating Tower. If you kill her you will get a Firekeeper soul and the first bonfire of Anor Londo will be unusable.
Also now you're now elegible for Darkmoons invasions (it's possible that you already could be elegible because you sinned in the past), both from standard darkmoons, and from darkmoons using the special Darkmoon Covenant ring (which summons Darkmoons to fight in Dark Anor Londo).
To get to the Darkmoon Bonfire, go to the Rotating Tower, and rotate all the way down. Then go downstairs too and will find the bonfire. There is a body with the a ring that inreases miracle damage/power. Also next to the ring there is a giant statue, this statue will fade and open a secret path if you equip the Dark Seance Ring, found in The Catacombs in a secret area. In this hidden path you can knee and join the Darkmoon COvenant or you can cross the fog and fight Gwyndolin. If you kill Gwynevere before hand, the statue will disappear without requiring the Dark Seance Ring; and you won't be able to join the Darkmoons.
If you want to join the Darkmoons in your current state, you must first go to Oswald in Undead Parish, absolve your sins, then comeback and knee in front of the Fog Door of Gwydolin. There you will have the option to join them.
Killing Gwyndolin grants you access to his set (which includes a crown that increases miracle damage), his soul (which can be coverted in a faith-scaling bow or a faith-scaling catalyst), and and the end of the boss room there will be 3 chests, one empty, one with the Brass Set (set the Firekeeper of Anor Londo is using), and one chest with the miracle Sunlight Blade.

Wow thanks for the help man, I wasn't excepted for this kind of help LOL
I have more problems in the Catacombs, the skeletons are spawning every second and my Divine Zweihander isn't helping me, its too weak and I didn't find that Claub next to the Havel's Armour chests, it wasn't there - Maybe because I kill the big women in Anor Londo?

Re: The Catacombs
quickly find the necromancers and kill them, make suicide runs at them if you have to. The first one is off to the right launching fireballs across the gap. You can kill him with a spell or bow. that will stop the skellys near him from respawning. The next is at the end of a bridge with two skellys gaurding him. Get past the skellys as fast *** possable if you can evade and run past them go for that, then get in the face of the necromancer and take him out asap, if you die no biggy as long as the necro goes down first. they wont respawn

Re: The Catacombs
There is a 5th chest, its the one off kind of by itself to the left. It's a mimic. Kill it or toss a Lloyd's Talisman at it. It'll give you the club. If that 5th chest isn't there it means you probably killed the mimic earlier and either didn't notice it dropped the club or maybe you got it and fed it to Frampt without realizing what it was.Branstone wrote:I didn't find that Club next to the Havel's Armour chests
Not a big deal. There's a divine sword next to the giant undead dragon in Valley of the Drakes that'll work too, or like others said just rush the necromancers and kill them. That can be tough in certain parts of the Catacombs until you're very familiar with the area though.
