Straight sword build

Hello everyone this is my first time here, and after attempting an Abyss greatsword PvP build and messing it up by springing for the cleansing greatshield unnecessarily I'm looking for some advice on this next one. a darkmoon blade straight sword build.

I didn't even think about this but I suppose I could utilize DWGR, no?

also i am sure you know but you can't buff a Divine weapon

30 Faith is really enough for buffing DMB and casting some WoGs, and 10 more dex will get a +15 BSS alot more damage.

I actually did not know that Which certainly throws a kink in it, I pumped faith so high for the b scaling on the divine weapon. Which would give me higher attacks before buffs, but without buffs whatsoever it is quite different. I suppose I can just switch over to dex and a +15 then.

I'm glad I asked now, before I ruined myself yet again. ;D

As for the hp I suppose Mask of the Child would get me more for my buck than mother then?

And as an aside, I was originally hoping for this to be a faith variant of a typical straight sword build, is there anything you can think of that might be able to salvage that aspect Or do no buffs on divine weapons kill it entirely? :[

EDIT: A further question, would something like Avelyn go well with this?

Try this. 40dex BSS is a good weapon, with a DMB or SLB buff it's a powerhouse. WoG is good, replenishment isn't bad with that much HP either.

It's just a minor re-tuning of stats. I assume you used Lord Blade armor because you like the look of it. And while I personally would use a lighter shield (Blood / heater) as doing so would allow you to perhaps use other Dex weapons if you ever wanted. Falchion / Uchi are also great for buffing.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I came up with once you guys informed me of the issue with Divine weps. And yeah I use Lord's blade because I like the looks of it, but also because I think it's the most protection I can get while keeping my fast roll. If there's another option I'd be open to it.

Alright I could use opinions once more, would that 57 poise (with Wolf Ring) be worth anything? I think I read somewhere that 56 is a good amount to have... or would it just be better to use DWGR?
