I am sure many of you use the DWGR as I used to a few months back.

During my random invasions as well as duels, i still get a ton of guys using this ring with tank armor sl 60 to about 140.

Now I know they didnt get enough end to use it at 25% due to the weps they use combined with spells. Im pretty good at estimating ones stats based off this kind of stuff if i know the overall soul level.

So my question to the forums is, why are people still flipping?

A side question is this, what will the flippers do in 3 weeks???

This is in no way a diss to guys who use dwgr, as I said, i used to use it. Just wondering why they are not practicing mid roll or at least fast roll...seems they will be at a big disadvantage for at least the first month if they dont wean themselves off of the I frames.

There are some holdouts, but I've seen a lot less flippers. Fast and midrolling is actually pretty fun, I regret not practicing them more before. When everyone had DWGR you were at a real disadvantage, but now it's a lot more even. I've had several mass PS3 PvP battles where everyone was mid or fatrolling, it was great.

Lord its the EXACT same horror show at the burg....I get summoned to a trolls world as he's finishing a fast roller off and praising the sun like he's a boss...then I may beat him badly or lose badly it could really go either way...but god I can't wait for it to end man I just can't wait...I have resorted to play Borderlands2(its fun) but seriously can't wait!

And hosting is no better every sign that's not a troll is gone instantly and I am left looking at choosing between....MoM giants DSS or havels MOF ect you know what I am talking about and why are they still doing is a damn good question!

I used to use DWGR a lot, but since I heard of the re-balance I switched it in anticipation for the Artsy of the Abyss update.
I've actually really liked using mid rolls and fast rolls since I haven't used them exclusively since my early weeks. I can't wait to see how it affects others. Maybe we'll see some better build variation(though there is already)?

I see a lot of gankers using the DWGR and the XYZR stuff, and every time i see them, i laugh pretty hard.
"You're so *** when the patch comes out" is what i think whenever they end up killing me... they'll have less armor, do a worse job at rolling, and generally just be weaker.

Well I think we all have at one point or another...I used to flip around the kiln with 78 poise and a chaos blade and GC destroying dudes....back in Feb then I learned a different way to fight and many since lol

I still flip. And wear Family masks. And sometimes I'm using an elemental weapon.

Head on over to Dough's Gamblin Hut and start placing bets on how much I'm going to lose come the DLC and/or how Rage quitty I feel.

I'm glad to see more lvl 100 players at Burg playing by the PTDE rules, but do they all have to be dex with pyro? I mean c'mon it is effective build, but is pyro really that must now a days?

I've been fairly successful invading the Burg with a UGW, 76 poise and mid roll. Of course there's the roll bs and all that garbage, but if I meet a flipper with as much poise as me, I just swap to my offhand spear and still somehow manage to beat them even though I'm using a spear without turtling or dodging. Also note that the MLGS special attack is close to impossible to dodge with mid roll. And I mean the good users who aim it behind you or at the floor, not the ones who lock on and hope for the best. There just aren't enough i-frames to get out of that 'splosion.

i've been fatrolling the burg in full giants with both tearstone rings equipped using the giants halberd... the only things that have killed me are combustion spam and a dmb falchion because i forgot to try and parry...

we all have found ways around it. I never needed poise much, so I'm taking that down to flip all day long. the truth is if it is that suited to your style then you will find a way to keep it.

The n00bs will probably rage quit since they will loose much but the DWGR will still be one if not the best ring in the game...i don't use it on the consoles but i like using it on the PC & will probably still be using it when the patch / DLC comes to consoles.

It's still the best thing to counter Spears which i think are the cheapest weapons in DkS especially the Dragon spear, put that in a hand of a spamming n00b & the DWGR will be your saving grace.

Having DWGR & 2-6 poise is more than enough to get me bye.

Good riddance old DWGR & Tank flippers, you will not be missed.

People don't care that they're *** soon when they're form of "skill" is no longer viable. Personally, i've been doing fast roll or 25% equip ninja flips for a while now so it doesn't effect me at all :3 I can't wait to see all of the housewives fall to their knees and get stabbed in the face. The days of the ultra tryhard are coming to an end, now the lucky tryhards will face the TRUE TRYHARDS OF DARK SOULS. <--- should be a covenant.

Not trying to be negative but trade out 32 stamina and u can still giant flip, I would love nothing more than the cookie cutter to go away but it wont really ;.; although overall it'll be better gankers gotta gank

32 end giant flipping? That'd be lower hp to stay in level range and elemental weapons (which do crappy damage now) and a lighter shield :p Elemental washing pole (gankers favorite weapon) sucks now, MLGS (2/3 in the housewive trio, next to washing pole) can't stunlock and the claymore has to be used well to win. Gankers (A.K.A Housewives) are screwed and we know it :3 My tryhard 48 poise wog backstabber is going to be supreme :3

the MOM is being nerfed is it not? If it is like I thought it will be adding like 70hp not 250hp!

And ill take that anyday over someone at that lvl that could do the same with hornets ring and wear mom and giants the def is dismal compared to what they have now!
