I would drop the crystal spells and try some manus cat glass cannon approach. So you can use Str as a plus damage factor and have access to weapons that will make your enemy keep some distance (ie. great club). It goes very well with the dark spells. Also, sounds like something new within some of most cliche builds...

Also, Str:34 enables you to use Greatshield of Artorias, which is very good for both PVE and PVP.
