    Bell Gargoyle's... Empty Bell Gargoyle's...

Post by Choopah Thu Oct 04, 2012 5:40 pm

    Hi Guys,
before you attack me for requesting some advice, i am new to Dark souls...

Anyway! I have spent the last 2 hours trying to get these gargoyles. Tried all the guides.
-Put the summon thing down outside the entrance to the boss and all i get is transported to someone else world to help them?!
-Tried to us a bow to get the drakes sword but i can use a bow...
-grinded for a while and levelled up to hopefully make things easier.
    - People say summon a NPC. i dont have the item to do that...
    Im a level 21 Knight.

The first gargoyle is very tough! and just cant kill him.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Many thanks in advance happy

Ok the bridge with the red dragon - He sits at one end - At the other end of that bridge on the outside down a few steps there will a knight staring at the sun if you talk to him you will then be able to get his help with the gargoyles.

If you are human form his sign will appear just outside the entrance - Here is a link that shows you were you can find him https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWhEos5ARew&list=PL853FDDB4EB3DCB1D&index=4&feature=plpp_video around 5 mins into video it shows where he is.

In order to summon other players or NPCs you do not need to use the stone. You need to be human. You can look for others to help either by the bonfire by where the knight was or just outside of the church, through the door to the right of the altar. Also outside the fog door to the roof you may find summon signs as well.

If you use the white stone you lose the ability to summon others and just make yourself available to be summoned.

One other point on running out of humanity. There are some rats in the area. Rats tend to carry humanity so if you farm them you should be able to get some fairly quickly. I can tell you more about where, but I'm not sure how much you want to know...

If you yourself drop a summon sign you may help someone against the boss. The practice may be good for you and if you and your partners beat it I'm pretty sure you'll snag some humanity.

Garl makes a great point as well.

Dropping your summon sign in one of those places I mentioned should lead to you being summoned. Good Luck.

I find summon signs mostley right outside the side entrance to the church, towards where the blacksmith is, that is also where i always place mine its either white shining letters or orange shining letters when you stand on them you will see an outlining of the player who you can summon.

    Just my 2c.

If you help someone else in beating the bell gargoyle, not only do you get experience and learn how to approach the boss in your own game, BUT you don't loose anything if you die, you just go back to your own world, souls and humanity intact! So being summoned is not only risk-free, BUT is good experience. And if you manage to help the host beat the boss, well then you get a humanity for your efforts! bonus...

Oh, and you dont even need to be in human form to set down your summon either...

what you really should do is upgrade your favourite armor combo and sword or whatever you like best before you even level up since that wont help nearly as much as upgrading your gear.
