In my opinion it's super cheap for dueling, but for invading it's very useful when facing 3vs1.

TWoP is easy to punish in its casting time , but once its done and you are caught in it you are open to Soul Spears, Arrows, Pyromancies adn to some degree WoG, In other words it becomes really hard and almost impossible to punish for Melee only People since you cant do much about it and thats why People think its cheap .
But here is the Deal , You can just cast WoG , Soul Spear or anything yourself . If you dont have those well then...Youre [eff]ed

It's just another spell in the game. Has a loooong wind-up, so it's pretty easy to punish. I've only had it used on me once. It was a few weeks ago at the Parish. I'd never used TWoP, so when the guy bent down I'm thinking he's casting the Princess Guard miracle or something. I didn't last long.
Funny thing is, he invaded me again and tried to cast it again so I just laid into him. Turns out he was an infinite health/stamina modder. Why bother with TWoP?

The spell its self isn't cheap. There are many various ways of countering it. But, it can be really cheaply used, especially by gankers. TWoP + CSS is nasty and unavoidable.

The spell is underpowered.

I'm not too worried about it since I can outrun or WOG a person till they realize they made a mistake.
The best part is when you see them cast you run around a corner cast it. It is funny to watch fishers still try and go for the backstab when I do that.
