I'm pretty frustrated and have googled "where to find dark souls weapons" and not much comes up. The only weapons i've really used are the lightning spear and the drake sword because the others do MUCH less damage. My question is where do I find some of the Better weapons in dark souls and what are there stats?

In Dark Souls, you do find some decent weapons, but the best weapons are made from those base "less" damage weps, and upgraded to stronger forms with blacksmiths, embers, and your own personal stats.
The drake sword and Lightning spear are both good weps for the start of the game, but quickly lose their appeal as you continue on. It really depends where your stats are, to find what wep works best, but your first playthrough will typically have you wielding weps with less than 400 AR most of the time.
Use the Wiki to see what weapons will do what with what stats, or one of the various calculators on line.

In the beginning of Anor Londo, there is a chest guarded by the Giant Halberd Knights (go left after the bonfire). It has a Crystal Halberd. That weapon is really effective for Anor. You need 16 str and 12 dex to use it. Be careful, that chest is a mimic. So, you need to kill both knights and kill the chest first. But, once you do that, you'll have a good weapon for that level - it does break quickly though.
In Anor Londo, you'll find an occult club. Get that and delevel it. It will turn into a divine club +5, which will be very very useful for the catecombs (it'll prevent the skellies from coming back to life).
Neither are great weapons, but are very handy.

It takes some time before you'll find some good weapons. I had to beat O & Smo with the drake sword.

You're not horrible, you're just still learning. This game isn't easy at all. The Drake sword should be enough to get you through the Depths. Do you see any summon signs at the bonfire? They can help you. Keep playing, you'll get better, and things will get easier.gammlesvarte wrote:i wish i could be that good to i cant even get past the depths...im a horrible player

Get the Zweilhander, it's a Greatsword located to the left of the Firelink Shrine in the graveyard with the skeletons. It's what I used on my very first playthrough and it helped a lot, don't forget to upgrade your weapons too.

And claymore is also a really great weapon. A little risky to acquire though.

You should be able to get the claymore with no risk at all. Go to the dragon, go down the stairs to the right, kick the ladder down and save at the bonfire. Go back up and run back down the stairs as his fire kills the hollowed soldiers. Go up the stairs again and run to the opposite side from the stairs. That is the safe spot. Wait there and the dragon will come down. As soon as you see him jump off, start running down the bridge to the bonfire, go between his legs. Save at the bonfire ASAP, and he'll disappear. Then, you can get the Clay. Works 100% of the time that I do it. You do have to be quick to save at the bonfire. If you take too long, the dragon will turn around and kill you with fire.Uparkaam wrote:And claymore is also a really great weapon. A little risky to acquire though.

There is the Zweihander if you do not have that one yet, it's a really over-used weapon but if you don't care about being "original" and "obscure" like some fool...Like me, then it's a good weapon. You can find it in the graveyard near Firelink near to the massive group of skeletons with one Giant Skeleton. You can pretty much sprint there, and do a circle back around the path you didn't use first. Then just rest at the bonfire and they'll leave you alone.

Just find one you like the best....looks/moveset and just upgrade it. The base damage isn't what matters most. Scaling is the stat to look at. Whatever you have the most points in (DEX, STR, ect) is the one you'll want to look for that bests suits your playstyle. Scaling is measured with D (being kinda bad), to A and S (being the best). B is alright too if you like the weapon. I had the same problem when I first started playing, I thought based damage was what I should be looking at and really it is the scaling. you will see a huge difference when you find a weapon that's scales with your highest stat best. then once you find that weapon, upgrade upgrade upgrade.

I tend to go with whatever has the moveset I like the most. Then I just pump upgrades into that. The of the best things about DkS is that almost any weapon if viable when properly upgraded

If you join the Forest Covenant in the Darkroot Garden, an NPC named shiva should appear right outside the area where you joined it. If you want you can kill him and he'll drop a Muramuko, a few humanities, and an Iron Shield, if you do kill him though you'll be kicked from the cov. and won't be able to rejoin. Also his ninja bodyguard will attack you.
However if you don't kill him he'll eventually leave and go to blighttown swamp ( near Quelanna/ before Quelaag's Domain ) , when he's there he can sell you a lot of good dexterity weapons and a few good strength weapons.
If you do go through the catacombs, in the room where you fight the titanite Demon there's an open coffin that when you "nestle" in, will take you to a cave with the leader of the Gravelord Servant Covenant is. When you join you automatically receive a Gravelord Sword and the miracle, Gravelord Sword Dance ( AoE attack )
Also all the weapons mentioned by everyone else are awesome as well, can't really go wrong with any of them, just find what one you like the most and upgrade it a lot ( use the wiki if you need help finding the embers. )
