The Show itself is alright (The first half of Season one was pretty undwerwhelming) and enjoyable, the Dialoge can get really cheesy at times, especially those letters to Celestia . Dont get me wrong i really like the Show, im just not totally obsessed with it.
What really makes me enjoy Ponies like i do now is the Fandom.
The MLP fandom is one of the most creative and friendliest community i ever saw on the Internet, their works, be it Art, Music and even Fan Fiction is of high Quality and they put their hearts into it .
Also OP , if you dont like Ponies. Stay out of the Bronie thread, i never saw someone talking about it on other Threads .

I think it's disturbing seeing so many grown up guys loving this. Never watched the show, so I don't understand what's the hype for a cartoon for little girls. It's like being severely obsessed with the Powerpuff Girls.

I'm hardly obsessed. For me, it's just a chance to look at life through rosier lenses, it had been something I'd forgotten to do in recent times and it has made me happier, but that's really the full extent of it.
It's just a really nice show, but that's the extent of it. No need to get carried away with it.

The biggest thing that made this thread dissapoint me is that I knew every single reference to MLP made in this thread.

I watched an Episode (Applebuck Season) with my 6 Year Old girl cousin and my other 10 Year old male cousin .
Both of them were biased towards the show (it being for little girls) .
Both of them ended up liking it, and the Boy even confessed to me that he liked the Show before i showed it to him(his favorite pony is Pinkie Pie) but he never told anyone since the show is supposedly for little girls
Just shows the high quality of this Show ^^

For me, it's more about the show than anything else. I love the community and the things that come out of it, but at my core I'm kind of an animation nut (ie: I love cartoons
), so it makes me happy seeing the medium produce a worthwhile product. It's a great and well-balanced show that was actually designed for an all-age audience as a reboot to the MLP franchise, it just happens to have the stigma of "little girls show" associated with it because it happens to be part of a franchise that has historically been nothing but that.

It's because you Bronies are like the Borg, you take things (such as DkS) and morph them to your kind. When people hate on your guys (rightfully) for being weirdos you throw bull**** back asking, "Oh, why is this ***?" and "We need more reasons as to why we suck." That is why people hate Bronies, you force your ideals upon others and act like you are superior, when in actuality, liking a show that is designed for little girls is a sign of homosexuality. It is my opinion that you people are the scum of the internet.

I like a lot of bizarre anime, so i really can't talk. Still those are aimed at adults. Not trying to be negative, you guys are allowed to like what you want. It just feels like it is more of a "i'm a grown guy and i like my little pony, isn't that odd" rather then the show actually being good and people liking it for that reason. Not saying it is a badly made show, it is a well done kids show. I just don't get how grown men are so obsessed with it. No offense guys, i know a lot of you enjoy it, and like i said i like weird animated shows myself. I just REALLY don't think the show deserves the cult following it has. Seems kind of like a fad or a trend or something.
