The bed of chaos is sickeningly easy once you really examine the lay of the land.

Ok... so before the bed of chaos makes all those cracks appear on the ground, reaching the first hand is insanely easy, right?
Have you ever looks at the ground during the second part though? it crumbles in a manner that allows you to easily jump over the holes and completely avoid the hands, going both towards and away from the boss. In addition, the bed of chaos has an obscenely easy to dodge attack, that while it's using, it's not allowed to do hand sweeps of any type.

So get 10 attunement, flash sweat for it's difficult to avoid fire pillars, and then the boss is insanely easy and can't even kill you with any of it's moves, as you're out of range 99% of the entire fight.

It just -baffled- me when i discovered that today. I've solo'd 40 hosts bed of chaos so far, and made 0 mistakes.

Or if you really felt like being cheap, you could Homeward bone out of the arena whenever you destroy one of the sides, It stop the ground from crumbling, and puts you in a position to finish the battle with ease.

No, not quite. Unless your version somehow is bugged, the ground will crumble once more as you try to reach the second limb. "The to trip" is just as difficult as the return trip for most.

I usually do the cheap method. Break the right hand, quit. Break the left hand, quit. I know exactly where to go to get on the branch after the ground crumbles.

You should make a video of what you're talking about so we can see it.

Ya, they could have done so much more with that boss.. a bow nerfs that fight by itself and if you get down where to jump for the middle root or just fall down in the obvious spot then that boss fight is just worthless. I've had trouble with some bosses that I thought were easy from ****, but never that one =\

I agree with OP. Once you sit down and look at the patterns of his hand movements, they become easy to dodge. Then break all the floor and just run back and forth a few times. So easy, a DW could do it!
(JK about the DW joke, but it really is even easy for them)

I never had a problem with the boss or the cracks, easy enough to avoid Imo, I just get inpatient and jump for the last branch over and over, dying several times before I land on it

I'm the same...if I die 2 or 3 times I start to get annoyed and just rush the branch and usually miss the jump...heheh. The worst happened with my latest character, however: I did everything without dying, made the jump correctly, and then when I was one inch away from the little grub I see the ground start glowing...I MISS TWICE because the pathetic hitbox of my rapier's blade went over the abomination's head, and I proceed to die to the flame AoE T_T

That was somehow more annoying than dying 10 times. Another annoying thing that has happened to me in the past is forgetting to put on the Orange Charred Ring again after respawning at the bonfire and then dying to the lava.

The trick is to take out the right hand orb first. When you land, run for it, don't even look at the boss. After you've destroyed it run like mad back to the wall and edge along it till the left hand orb is in bow range (just another example of how invaluable bows can be in this game) and shoot it. After that it's just a matter of timing your run for the centre, although I admit sometimes it takes more than one attempt.

Wait...You can use a bow to hit the orbs? The more you know right.

Hugging the wall and shooting arrows into the weak spots is the only way I see that is actually death proof.
