Hey there, I thought some of you guys may enjoy a playthrough Galm, a youtuber, is doing of Dark Souls. He is streaming the game when he can and then uploading it to youtube afterwards for those who missed it. I just thought some members might enjoy seeing someone completely new to the game playing, and get to relive the experiences of discovery and dealing with all the frustration and reward. The first episode is him designing his character, so you may enjoy the second episode and on more so.

That's episode 2, starting in the Asylum.

Yeah James' is pretty hilarious, though I forgot to watch his Demon's Soul one, perhaps I'll go back and finish it up soon.

It's still going? Jeesh James I love ya man but come on. I'll probably start up watching it again soon, I've got to see how he is still at Satsuki.

James' Dark Souls was awesome. His Demon's Souls one isn't as good IMO, but still has its moments.

But yeah, I love blind run-throughs, I'll probably check this one out.

EDIT: Yeah, Satsuki hept 1-shotting him. He panicked a lot with his ring selections and it cost a couple of times. He also let Satsuki heal up a few times.

The thing is that he has less skills for Demon's Souls than for Dark Souls, somehow. In the DkS one he died a lot, yes, but progressed (albeit slowly). In DS, however, he died thousands of times before arriving to Phalanx...seriously, I think he spent 12 episodes just getting there. Still the Tower Knight and Tower of Latria episodes are a goldmine, and he has still to fight Maneater...Meh, I wish I could play DeS.

I just wish the commentors would stop telling to do all these different things (usually the information they give him is incorrect) and go for all these different items because it's just confusing him and he isn't enjoying it as much as he did with Dark Souls.

There are dozens of people telling him to do dozens of different things, which often aren't compatible and he's a nice guy so he tries to oblige his fans, but it gets him nowhere and it ends up affecting his performance. And then when he submits a video full of fail the same commentors who were giving him all this primo "advice" just Monday-morning quarterback and criticize ad nauseum that they are being given yet another video with no progress despite ignoring the fact that it was their comments which put him in that situation in the first place.

Please, just let the man play. 🇳🇴

I confess that I did recommend him to fight Satsuki, because he was 1 tendency point away from turning the world Pure Black anyways, because of all those times he died in human form trying to find Sparkly or trying to progress on 4-2... but it was probably a mistake, I don't know.

Right now I hope he goes and tries to progress with another world, like Valley of Defilement (where he was close to the Dirty Colossus) or Tower of Latria (though I don't know how he will beat the Maneaters, but it will be so fun)

Satsuki was fine for the time because he had turned the world black already organically he didn't just do it with the intentions of fighting Satsuki, but it's when people tell him to go on these wild-goose chases in these random-*** worlds looking for some item that he probably cannot even use and then he does it and just walks around aimlessly in the level for some 20-odd minutes.

Yes, I agree with you and I hope he doesn't listen to those that want him to go search for Old King Doran...

The more James fails the more entertaining (and frustrating) it is.

Looking forward to starting to watch this walkthrough when I get home.

James' Dark Souls was pretty good to endure. It had it's moments of sluggishness, but it kept moving forward.

His Demon's Souls is ridiculous. He doesn't even bother to continue if there is nobody with him, he farms and dies. It's kind of annoying, I want to yell in the comments, but nah. I got fed up with it, and not bothering to continue that series until he finishes World 4. Completely. He could have beaten it by now. He is being mislead in the comments which is annoying I think everyone.

Also! I shall watch Galm as soon as I get out of class. =D Blind Playthroughs? WIN.

He's actually a pretty quick learner, unlike a lot of playthroughs which involve hours of dying to the same thing he seems to actually figure the enemies out pretty quickly. For now.

I like failure in blind playthroughs. There was one I really, really enjoyed a while back until the player got the Eagle Shield and Quelaag's Furysword. From then on it was block/slash, block/slash and I got bored quickly.
