PC PvP at 100

Im sorry but it sucks, everybody is just running vit gouge builds and running as much tank as they can.

Invaded my 5th person with full havels + rapier turtling like a man! >__>

I haven't run into that many tank builds while invading oolacile township as a lvl 100. Anor londo isn't that bad either. I see a lot of casters though (casters everywhere!). Hosting in the burg on the same build, I got mostly low-lvl griefers which was pretty funny.

Where have you been invading?

Either i run into people over SL 200 or turtle tanks. Kinda breaks the fun atm. Especially if they start estus chugging

Try some arranged duels with people you know on the pc version. It's a lot of fun once you can get some fights going

It's either that, backstab fishing turtle hornets ring with silver surfer dagger, or dark magic spammers. That is why I don't go into the arena.. I do a lot of hosting/invading at SL 100-110 with around 1200-1500 vitality in the Township and I don't see as many of.. i'll just say.. those.. in the township. I've actually gotten a few good matches recently.

currently i see 24 faith to get great magic barrier as a must have, because it is the only viable counter to dark sorcereis (didnt try magic shield though, any info on that one?).

Its near impossible to dodge through a pursuers + dark beads combo, and trying to block it will just get yourself killed.

There is one other extremely good counter to dark sorceries, and any other spell for that matter:

Vow of Silence. A supremely under rated spell that I have never (Honestly. Never) seen anyone but myself use.

Also, my 100 build is a poison pyro who has 30 vit

aint the range on vow of silence kinda limited ? and dont forget it uses 2 slots

2 slots is 12 attunement. If you're running VoS, you probably shouldn't be running other magics, so it's not a big stat investment.

If Vit Gouges are such a big problem, then just move on into higher level ranges so you have vitality to fight back. You don't have to stick at level 100.

Yeh, what Rynn said. Once you cast VoS you cant cast anything else so I usually cast then just get right in their face.

This build is of course to combat people who rely on spells so getting all up in their face when they lack the ability to cast their spells freaks them right out. I've had people doing the "Spellcast failed" gesture repeatedly while i backstab them lol!

Perhaps at most 4 attunement slots if you feel like you -must- get the most out of your talisman: Buff, VoS, and WoTG for if they live through the silence.

But yeah, just 12 attunement is all you need.

I agree, I greatly dislike SL 100. I've moved on to 105 (and onward, after I can test Resistance, to 120-125), and its much busier. I never found a match at 99.

Yes that is what I meant but I named it silver surfer dagger/sword :p

But the combo isn't really that hard to dodge, athough you've gotta be really quick on your reflexes because most people will either spam the FACE out of the beads or go for a bs/attack after the combo or just pusurers when your stamina is drained from running from it. You could argue that silver pendant is the counter.. but really it's just a backstab opening. They kind of OP'd the **** out of the new spells. Curious to see if they're going to learn from their mistakes on the consoles or not. If not, then i'm curious to see the "Duelists" and their mage builds haha
