Re: Resident Evil 6 anyone?
I'd guess I've done probably 10-12 invasions myself tonight, and in those I've probably seen other people join me 4 or 5 times. I really wish I'd gotten on this sooner, because it seems like not nearly as many people are playing as they were when I was last playing this a lot. Damn DkS for pulling me away from everything. My invasions have been dicey as well. I got one after another for the first 5 or 6, and since then I've had to sit in the menu and just try over and over again. I think either people aren't playing, or their playing with AH turned off. Shame.

That's pretty much how it was on the xbox last time i played it, so i can only imagine what it's like now.
I really wish people would play it more though, i mean it's really not a bad game.

Re: Resident Evil 6 anyone?
Yeah, I'm at a point where I really don't care what negative things people have to say about it. I liked it when I first played it, then took a long break, and now that I'm revisiting to finish up the last 2 campaigns, I'm enjoying it just as much. Which says to me that it wasn't just the thrill of a new RE that was doing it before. All the things I don't like about it are really minor, and the majority of what I do like about it are big important elements. It's way better than 5, in so many ways. If they hadn't split it up into separate levels, and they'd kept weapon upgrading, I'd put it on par with 4.
The snowy mountain level in Jake's campaign is awesome. If there's one thing you really have to give the RE series it's graphics. That level is amazing. Some of the best I've ever seen in actual gameplay.

Re: Resident Evil 6 anyone?
I really have to agree with you on everything, especially what you said about almost being on par with RE4.
What i truly love about Leons campaign, and i'm sure i've said this before, is the church level. Because everytime i play it, i feel like i'm playing RE4 again.
I honestly don't think a lot of people even gave the game a chance, but just let whatever ratings the game got decide what they should do.

Re: Resident Evil 6 anyone?
Yeah, Leon's whole campaign is pretty great. The sewer/subway and cemetery levels I found to be especially effective. Definitely found myself inching through both of those areas, looking over my shoulder every 5 seconds. I liked the Tall Oaks City level a lot too. I think it's the closest a video game has gotten to being able to play what I love about zombie films.
On a side note, does anybody reading this have this game for PS3? I'm trying really hard to unlock all the characters in Mercenaries, and it's really difficult to do some of them solo. I'm not seeing a lot of people playing Mercs, and those I have hooked up with haven't turned out to be very good at it.
I'm definitely seeing what you meant about Ustanak now too BTW. It doesn't really have the same effect the Nemesis did. It's so scripted that you pretty much know exactly when he's going to show up, so the whole surprise element is thrown right out the window.
Edit: Finally finding skilled players to co-op with. I was starting worry that the game was just dead, which was really making me unhappy. It's so much fun. Actually has been able to peel me away from DkS this time. That's saying something.

This whole series needs a bump. I need to take a break from Skyrim. But the DLCs are so close to being here.

Evidently there are a bunch of super cheap DLC Mercenaries maps now. I had no idea. As soon as I'm done with Dead Space 3 that's what I'm doing. You can get all of em for 6ish bones. 7 maps.

I'm not into any of the Mercenaries stuff. Well.. I was a lttle bit with Resident Evil 4. But that was because I wanted the Hand Cannon.

I wasn't until I revisited RE5. Once I really learned how it worked, and started to get good at it I got addicted fast. Love it now.

I could never learn how to reload the Hydra and two other weapon at the same time. Let alone just two at a time.

I'm not sure what you mean by that. What's hard about reloading?

Re: Resident Evil 6 anyone?
Equip hydra. Fire atleast 1 round. Reload. While it's slowly reloading, go to the equipment inventory screen and move other type gun ammo to that certain type of ammunition.
It's like killing two or more birds with one stone, so to say.
You need quick and accurate finger reflexs to do it.

Re: Resident Evil 6 anyone?
So it's like glitching to reload more than one gun at once during one gun's reload animation?

Re: Resident Evil 6 anyone?
Oh oh. Yeah, the manual reload during actions trick. Yeah, definitely a helpful thing to get the hang of if you're high score hunting. A good one is if you have a skilled partner, land a melee, then while they're chaining their hit manual reload all your weapons, then chain your hit, and you can go back and forth and finish up the combo with a blast of whatever.

Yeah I was surprised by that when I fired it back up after not touching it for awhile. It added Ada's campaign partner Carla too I think.
