Like the title says, I am increasingly finding myself questioning why I have any sympathy for Sieglinde, given that she openly admits that her Father Siegmayer became Undead by her own hand.

"Don't worry, that's just the way he is. Undead or no. Sort of reasuring, really.
If he goes Hollow, I'll just have to kill him again."

    WTF! :affraid:

So come on, what do you think ol Siegy did to ps-off his daughter so much, that she then felt the need to top him?

I personally think it was because he ate all the pies one dinner time. lol

I think time is distorted so badly in Lordran that he had gone Hollow in one timeline and attacked her, forcing her to kill him.

Nah, I'm more inclined to believe that he swiped the last bit of chicken before she could get ahold of it! lol

Seriously though, if time was distorted in this way how would Sieglande recognise you or the help that you provided them both during your final encounter at Ash Lake? Surely you'd still be a stranger to her seeing as that you wouldn't have met either of them prior to this time. :suspect:

You should, as you're pretty much guarenteed to get a titanite Slab at the end of it if you follow theses simple steps, remembering to exhaust all of the text whenever you speak: -

    *SPOILER ALERT!*

    - Speak to Siegmayer at the gate leading to Sen's Fortress before ringing the 2nd Bell of Awakening, or the 1st if like me you like to do things arseways backwards

    - Speak to Siegmayer before going through the fog gate near the first boulder trap in Sen's Fortress

    - Speak to Siegmayer in the room at the bottom of the left-hand staircase from the roof in Anor Londo before clearing out the adjacent room of the three Silver Knights therein, speak with Siegmayer, before going on to finish the level to aquire the Lordvessel

    - Speak to Siegmayer by the bonfire at Firelink

    - Speak to Siegmayer in the Blighttown Swamp (not far from the root leading up to the Great Hollow) and give him three Purple Moss Clumps

    - Rescue Sieglinde from the Golden Crystal Golem in the Duke's Archives Garden, and speak to her

    - Speak to Sieglande at the Firelink bonfire

    - Help Siegmayer defeat all of the Chaos Eaters in the pit at Lost Izalith (to help save time, and Siegmayer, it is advisable to kill one or two from up above before you even speak with him), speak with him quickly (rush through the text to save time), and Homeward Bone out of there to prevent him from being poisoned to death

    - Speak to Sieglinde at the Firelink bonfire for the second and last time

    - Make your way to the Ash Lake bonfire to find Sieglinde standing over the now deceased corpse of Siegmayer (she appears to have finished him of a short while earlier, after he 'apparently' went Hollow, but given that she murdered him once before I find this explaination to be just a little too convenient for my liking  ), speak with her, and be awarded a titanite Slab for your troubles

    - Kill Sieglinde for 1000 extra souls twisted

    - Live with the guilt for the rest of your playthrough lol

That depends on how your fight with the Chaos Eaters turns out. If Seigmeyer has more than half of his HP left when the last Chaos Eater dies then he'll survive the fight and move on the meet Sieglinde. If he has less than half HP after the last Chaos Eater dies, he'll die on the spot.

Perhaps every other time he died he respawned at the bonfire and its only upon entering your timeline, which is the only "real" timeline (Feel free to speculate i have nothing to back this up) so when she kills him this time shes extremely upset compared to the callus attitude she had talking about it prior.
