If you're just starting out and are in the Undead Burg you may have noticed a little problem when you turn human to summon help, right? You get invaded by guys a thousand times more powerful than you.
If that's what is happening I'm sorry for you. Until you get to the Sunlight Altar bonfire there's not even a convenient way for you to farm more humanity in order to summon phantoms to help you. Stick with it, and good luck to you.
*edit* ahaha, I just saw your duplicate thread, you're in Anor Londo at sl 4! Sympathy is all gone! I can help on either pc or PS3, but if you're PS3 you shouldn't have too much trouble finding signs in the bonfire room, even at sl 4.
