after you meet seath for the first time you'll be tossed in a cell in a large circular room, logans cell is at the bottom guarded by mutant octopus monsters(not kidding), the key is further on in the archive close to the third bonfire in the area, it in a room with 3 other chests one of which is a mimic and one holds an ember. when you free him he can teach you crystal versions of spells which are very powerful. he will however stay in the archives once freed. but close to the third bonfire. after you buy al his spells he'll eventually go hollow and can be found in the room you first meet seath in (after seath is dead). killing him then nets you white dragon breath a spell requiring 50 int and the strongest catalyst in the game(though it cuts your casts in half)

@sparkly-twinkly-lizard. Well that's what's supposed to happen. I got 70,000 souls, so I could buy his last two spells, went through the hell that is the 1st room after the lift (well I think it's hard anyway). Found him, bought spells & left, went back. This is where he's supposed to get mad and tell you to leave. He didn't, just started maundering on, so I left again. Went to place where I beat Seath hoping he'd gone hollow like he's supposed to and he wasn't there. Went back all the way to Firelink, came back through that damned room again, he was still there. Patience exhausted by this time, so I just attacked him and killed him. Result at last, the last sorcery spell I needed to get the trophy popped up and so did the trophy but I knew I'd taken a risk because I inadvertently broke the storyline with Siegmeyer in Lost Izalith, so no titanite slab for me this playthrough.

ah. i talk with him alot whenever i try to get spells... once he starts repeating himself in crazy mode i quit, restart and there he is in the chamber... wearing nothing but his hat.... oh and theres an ember in that room once seaths dead.
