WTF is this blasphemy?

Look at the new PS3 model. They added a sliding door to the disk tray. I just see all the dust accumulated there. Instead of advancing in technology, they're going backwards!!! WTF! :x

Probably because the chance to scratch the discs from the constant eject and insert of a disc as it is right now.

My original PS3 is still chugging along, the one where it kind of eats the disc, so this wont concern me for a while.

i actually kinda like it, it reminds me of the ps1. the reason they do it is to cut manufacturing costs so they can lower the prices of the ps3. theyre not supposd to make it better, its not the ps4 which thankfully wont be rushed and wont be here till at least 2015.

Yeah, it has the PS1/3 aesthetic to it, and I suppose it could reduce the chance of disc damage.
