I think that everyone has some sort of common denomenator throughout out their builds ....

so what is yours!

I mean it could be as simple as a weapon, or a ring, or a hood, or some piece of armour. In any case I have no doubt that most people have one. An item with some significance more that simple utility.

Mine is the Hollow Theifs Set. I use it on most if not all off my builds!

The Boots of the explorer or gauntlets of the vanquisher are my 2 main ones. Blood shield is also common, and finally I always try to use the RoFaP.

Black Bow of Pharis... saves my life everytime.

First thing I do after start a new game is to run like hell to where Havel's is, open the door to darkroot basin, go through it and reach Andrei. In that mean time I've already collected 20K Souls to buy Astoria's Crest and open the door.
I go straight to the archer to kill it and pick-up the Pharis Hat and Black Bow.

Before even ring the first bell or defeat the Taurus Demon.

Yeah that sound like my Great Scythe on my GL builds..... its suicide runs in the Cats until I get it.... otherwise I normally boost Vit until I can survive the jump into the Lower Burg so i can farm the Hollow Thiefs.

Failing that my newest little trinket is the Lurcerne!

In my items menu, I always put my invasion/coop item (red soapstone, red eye orb, white soapstone, etc) in the first slot. That way, I don't use a hot select spot. All I have to do is hit start and mash X a few times.

That is followed by Black Crystal and Homeward Bone. I put Humanity at the bottom (so start - up - X, very fast)

In my gesture menu, I always have bow in the center, wave to the right, and joy to the left.

I love the Witch Cloak.

You PROBABLY meant to say "Je ne sais quoi" although if you meant to say about something like your personal touch,it can be "Votre patte","votre signature" or "votre petite touche personnelle".

Anyway,I always have a white sign stone in my item slot,ALWAYS!

I can't really think of one, most of my builds are designed around a theme so there's nothing that really sticks out across the board. You might say it's the Halberd though, I use that on quite a few builds.

What's the Black Bow of Pharis got that's special please? It doesn't seem to do anything extra when I use it.

It has the highest range and the highest AR scaling for Dex. Good for PvE.

Strange, my dex is 40+ on one character. Maybe I'll check it out again.

Heal as soon as I can get it.
A lifesaver in many situations and a good boost until you get the rite of kindling saving you those precious 5 flasks available.
Oh and Warriors of Sunlight with the lightning spears.

Pharis is Ok. Composite is much better short/middle range, but Pharis is best long range. I prefer short bow and then I switch to composite due to the rate of fire; I find Pharis too slow for me.

Master Key - I love access. Anytime I play rpgs, I find I want to have as much access to everything as I can. I can't bring myself to choose any other starting item.

BSS +15 - I love this weapon. I feel naked when it is not an option.

Lautrec's armor - I only wear it when I speak to him in NG+. I kill him every playthrough and keep his armour as trophies.
