SL100 Str Build (Yes another one) Empty SL100 Str Build (Yes another one)

    Post by Ghadis_God Fri Sep 28, 2012 2:42 am

Strength builds are really becoming popular on these forums (at least among the experienced members), aren't they? I've seen a ton of builds posted over the last few weeks, and judging by the threads going on, a lot of newer players are interested in learning the ways of crushing opponents with big heavy weapons. As a long-time closet Str weapon user, I feel I have to contribute, though with a twist: This build is a Butcher Knife build. That's right, it might only do as much damage as a katana but who cares? After all, "I hack up my victims like pieces of meat..."

To use the bigger Str weapons I'll either put on havels ring, or just stack some more armor and midroll. Also, who knew the Pickaxe had such great damage at 40 Str? It's as strong as the Butcher Knife, light, and does thrust damage. I'll also use the MSGS, it's as light as the Butcher knife so I don't have to change anything. My UGS will be the trusty DGM, and I'll use the Dragon Tooth if I feel that my opponents need to get hammered. One final note: This toon will be female so the Tattered Cloth Robe won't look like crap. I also know the poise isn't optimized for weight, but I care more about looks anyway and I still managed to get it to fast roll, so win-win.

You don't get my feedback fast because this wasn't posted on the PvP section. As for the Butcher Knife, I would go mid roll, stack 106 poise, and +1800 HP. The thing has bad running attacks and roll attacks, so it's just R1 spammage and the silly R2 for fun. When you fight vs Claymore/MLGS, you're going to stun them first, instead of you. Hopefully you'll get 3 hits before the escape the stunlock.

the r2 of the butcher's knife is awesome an hard to parry much like the roling attack of the claws, l like the build but if you have 13 dex(buckler?) you really should go with a chaos comp bow which gives you more room to play around with armor.

I meant to post it the PvP section, it was late when I put it up though so forgive me. I'm basically fast rolling because I can, I can mid roll too by just putting some heavier armor on, I'm thinking Black iron sans the helm +wolf. And yeah, 13 dex is for the Buckler, which is lighter than the Target shield.
Good idea Rant, the light xbow is actually heavier than the composite, the xbow is a bit faster for the purpose of sneak attacks though, just whip it out and it's ready to fire. I want the versatility of being able to fast roll with my build so the fast roll stuff's the one I posted, Mid roll is easy, just slap on some heavy armor and you're done.

I also use the Golem Axe, Battle Axe, and MSGS.

I have been using the light xbow for a while now and it is awesome for sneak attacks and finishing off opponents. But I have to say the bows are more versatile, I still prefer the xbows since all my builds only have 9 dex.
