    Not sure why, but I can't get to stairs even...just constant death. Will stay by firelink bonfire all day and will check by boss door as well.

    I'm on ps3 so cant help too much but on my 1st playthrough i cast aural decoy to the right and it gave me some breathing room. you could try that. lure capra up the stairs, kill the dogs. kill the capra!
