    Right, I'm bored and procrastinating and its 5ish weeks till the planned event so what better time to make this thread? Be warned there are to be no spoilers in this thread. This is just to give everyone an idea of whats going on and spark some interest, not to discuss new content.

    So the next war will be in Oolacile! We'll be celebrating the new content by destroying the city with fire and leaving the butchered bodies of our foes in the streets. I don't think Arty would want it any other way.

    Atm its planned for the 23rd-24th of november, typical 48 hours long. The main thing thats a problem atm is the SL. Even though the PC section can give us an idea of the SL it may be different for consoles. If a couple of PC players could give us an idea of what SL the new content is that'd be great. Hopefully no one will have to remake builds.

    Now the way this war differs from previous ones is no one is declaring war on another. Instead this is a desperate race to conquer Oolacile and fortify it as your own. This is a rabid free for all, with everyone doing their own thing. Alliances can be made, but are not neccesary. Also be aware any alliances you do make will impact your cov greatly, because this war will have a difference.

    Whoever wins this war will win Oolacile. I'm going to start having groups conquer areas, and these will give you advantages in further wars. Whether its a flat points bonus or some extra time for the next war, or maybe a lore thing whateveer it is you'll be glad to have it. This also means it will be nice to have someone draw an entire map of the DkS world of Lordran (Seth Im looking at you mate).

    Now remember your alliance? If an alliance wins an area they share the bonus which doesnt mean much if they;re still allied for the next war, however if the alliance breaks they have 2 choices. Have a mini war and the winner takes all, or share the bonus and get 1/3's worth each.

    Finally onto sides. Atm in terms of big covs its looking like NK vs DS vs LH + GS. Yes 2 sides will be invading seperately. This is god, as it will hopefully lower the massive points the sides can score by spltting in between 2 sides. The smaller covs are ta;k to each other or ally with a big one, or try to take it all for themselves.

    SO thats all I can ramble about for now. Sorry for being a bit disjointed but I hope you get the idea.

    Update 1
    Right, bonuses for each area. Tell what you think and if some are OP.
    Archives
    - The Tactician's Eye: Using the book's of the archives to study the
    tactics of war, the owner of the archives has great military knowledge.
    Once per war they may declare an hour of game time in which their side
    scores double points.
    ToG - The Grave Tunnels: The dead have tunnels
    everywhere. They can travel underground, faster than any army. Each
    member of a covenant who owns the ToG may choose to start the war an
    hour early go finish an hour later.
    Oolacile - The touch of the
    abyss. All of us have a dark side. Once per war the owner of Oolacile
    may delcare an enemy covenant. For 1 hour all the points the enemy
    scores count for Oolacile. (Please be sportsman like about this. Don't
    log off or ignore it)
    New Londo - Hated Enemy: There are foes that
    are so despicable, your men will fight harder to kill them. Once per
    war you may designate a 12 hour period. In this period anyone from an
    enemy covenant you kill is worth 1 extra point.
    Painted World - Cold Snap: The weather of the PW follows its ruler. You may designate a one hour period where a chosen covenant can't score points.
    I did have one for izalith, but got it confused with the oolacile one and forgot it. Probably halve the opponents points. Im open to suggestions.

    No points cap. I'm hoping by having 2 sides invading it'll reduce the number of points either side can score and balance it itself.

    I've got a solution Wyrm! Don't look at the individual scores. Also if you take the LH out it will only increase the scores the DS core. You'll actually be helping them score massive. Sorry but I don't think you can not participate.

    Possible extra rule
    I'll be looking at dividing the war into 4 12 hour sections. As there are more than 2 sides it wont be who wins the most sections wins the war. However who wins these sections will influence how the lore goes.

    Well LH + GS. So you're proposing that LH invades as well? But that reduces any chances to encounter DS and slow their killings.

    No it doesnt. The DS all kill the boss, you wont be able to invade them. But if the LH are invading they are stealing potential kills from the DS. You're slowing their kills by stealing them. So rather than the DS having 3000 hosts to kill, they only have 2k, while the LH get 1k etc.

    Just thought about it and I think it won't work Dough, since they'll kill hosts anyway as the red eye orb has constant invasions anytime. So if you don't be using a points cap then I won't be participating. I won't stand another 900 points crap just because I'm cool.

    2 things.
    1. By "I won't be participating" do you mean yourself or the LH?
    2. Will the fact you didnt fight and the DS score massively high be any better than you participating and potentially stealing kills from the DS and making them score lower?

    And the red eye orb isnt necessarily "constant invasions". They need hosts, and if you guys are invading you could reach invader saturation point. Point is wyrm, either you dont fight and the DS score massive, or you do and they might not. Help me out here!

    2: I'm still thinking we won't be doing much difference by "stealing kills". The damn orb invades constantly anywhere, any SL, any time. I've tested it myself in the Painted World, and in the past wars everyone says their invasions where constant. Best way to stop their kills is by hosting so they lose time fighting with us, instead of desperate noobs.

    Wyrm... I thought you realized I wasn't participating - remember after the dukes war I refused to play in any again. I would instead just harass the war for fun and gain 0 points... You need not worry about my quite apparently fabricated scores. Just participate, I'm sure it would be fun.

    Anyway here's a list of who controls what atm.

    Followers - Izalith
    And I think'd be cool to give each area a bonus. Now obviously that would require a lot of effort to keep them all balanced so it may not ever go into practice, but anyone have ideas for the bonuses?
