EDIT: I'm asking since i know that there is a glitch where you give a weapon another moveset. I wont say anything else about it though.
But he could just have been using the 2h r2 of the mura.

The 2h r2 of the mura does that. It isn't identical but it's similar.

hmmmm but the rinse and repeat felt like a hammer, maybe im wrong o-o thats one weird move then I have a mura and never noticed it feeling hammer like -goes to test-

no what just happened had the very loud very distinct gashunk hammers make the mura has a kinda "clink" when it hits the ground

tried out some hammers just now and move looks like Dragon King Great axe two handed R1

usually hackers give weapons like that the moveset of a dagger and infinite poise break, so its either a glitch or the muras backstep attack.

Usually the glitcher gives a weapon a faster moveset, like one guy I fought who had the Zwei swing like a handaxe. Maybe he was doing it just for the fun of it, it's not so hard to imagine someone glitching the game to make it harder for themselves.

Yeah, that glitch is annoying. I've seen a lot of Moonlight greatsword katana users in the Forest lately. They're still relatively easy to parry though.
