Hand Axe is awesome

It's fast, it scales with STR, it weights little, it is up there with Greatswords on poise breaking, it's enchantable; what is there not to like?

Its range. I will admit its a pretty good weapon, but its incredibly easy to parry since its moveset is so predictable and you need to be so close for it to even land.

It's not on par with greatswords, it can't even break 21 poise. I use it as back up for my Str builds and it's awesome with a shield combination. Buffed works wonders.

I think the only strating weapon I really like is the mace. It is slow but that is a little advantage when it comes to PvP. People are expecting an aggressive player, but with a little bit of patience and a buffed mace you can zonk people.

Mace apparently has a good stunlock capability on its R2, I heard that it breaks poise in 2 hits regardless of how much your foe has. The problem is that its range is short as hell and you stagger when you miss.

I like the hand axe too, sad that it's so short though. Half the time you won't even hit the enemy because of lag and by the time you get in range to, they've already cut you with their katana and rolled away.
