@FinPeku - Well the forest is a beautiful place for all of my toons (SL314, SL128 and SL84) - that place is a nexus of activity - all levels probably get action there one way or another. The level you choose plus the covenant you are in (or if you use a cracked red)will determine the probability of SL imbalance - so you have to be careful cause you might just run into a SL500 flipping tank.

....Why is it that I walk into the forest only to be greeted by a 15 minute fog-gate....that no one invades me in those 15 minutes?

Well my friends I have been putting in work backing up the hunters. Here is my latest vid showing my quest for those ears. I will say I experienced one of the worse sets of bangs to date but strangely the camper was a cool cat just a little misguided (he said "he liked to pvp" - I responded "What??Hitting R1 is pvp?").We traded a few friendly PMs after the 1st bang - the trio bowed after the 2nd bang because they were impressed I took them on again. You know fighting the gank is what we do !!

Hurg... Well, I hosted in the forest for the first time in a long while, and holy hell, the hosts give just as bad as they get. I started with the BSS, and on the very first invasion got TWoP+WotG+GCF ganked. Threw lemon on my mura and that never happened again, but there was only one person who could fight me at any sort of balance in 3 hours, which is depressing even for the forest.

I love my lemon mura. Sooo powerful. Even stronger when I slap on PW.

I prefer the GS. When you lock off and do the running attack they have a hard time trying to hit you.

Oh yes - a SLB or DMB coated Mura is beautiful thing. I haven't really had a good 1v1 using my DMB-coated Mura but hopefully soon I will be able to put it to the test since the dmg output should be greater (can't wait to get DM+3) than SLB.

DMB will stat a higher AR for sure...but most people have a lot more magic defense than lightning so in the end its pretty close!

However if you see some poor fool wearing the crown of dusk....he's in trouble

Yep - I agree - that why I have my SLB as back-up. Just been trying to get some damage comparison between the two on my DM. Going to try to hit the Burg tonight with my DM to see if I can get some decent duels in. Hopefully I won't run into another freaking mod toon - that's what made me take a hiatus from the Burg for awhile.

Only one modded toon broke? I run into lots. quite a few subtle ones too. or at least comparatively. 4k hp Is something most would not spot I'd imagine.
Also got the most depressing reply from a SoV spellswap glitcher "everyone does it lol"
I said "classy" if you are interested. but jeez that is a depressing attitude.

That's why I go SLB. DMB isn't much stronger. Magic defense is stronger in the Forest. And, you don't need to be in the DM covenant. Lemons for all! (Well, maybe just me, LOL)

@Reim and Dark - you both make a valid point about the increased probability of res to magic rather than lightning - why should I cripple myself. Well I'll switch around the order of the casts - SLB then DMB

@Dan - no I've run into my share of mods toons but the last time was in the Burg and the dude was ridiculous - running around swinging a electrified Darksword like a mad man. I hit him a few times then realized he was a maxed health mod and I said screw this and disconnected.The lengths people will go just to have a empty win.

Haha, my favorite has to be people who mod infinite hp and then forget to put poise on.... can anyone else say stunlock?

Lol do it do it on my sl 330 I was going to join DM so I would have the full rainbow available....2 casts slb/2 cast CMW and a dmb...but I went for the 3rd slb On my next playthrough ill grab it tho 4 cast of slb seems abit much.......

Lol my god the buff that ends up on that crystal LC is going to be stupid scary :affraid:

Looks great to me don't think there's much you can do to improve that build....HP's a little low but I only run 1500 ish so I would still be okay with 1300!

You may as well switch the shield to a parrying dagger (of course that's just me, since I never block at all)

Keep the mlbh on you for menu swaps, give you some breathing room if they're hyper aggressive.

Well brethren had some nice fights in the forest last night - surprisingly all honorable duels. I think most hosts are surprised when a third blue invades - humbleness is in order especially if the host has any measure of honor.I just want to have a good ole 1v1 brawl.

I was doing my Youtube rounds the other day and I saw a glitch which I never seen before.It was definitely PS3 players - anyway one of the dudes cast Emit Force but the ball never launched and detonated. It just stayed around his body ( I don't know how this would benefit you since the ball is not lethal until detonation) - plus the dude was setting off WoGs with the Emit Force still around him. I need to find the vid and post it - has anyone encountered this glitch before?

Thats spellswap broke. it happens sometimes if you spellswap an emit as I understand.
nice on the duels. pity I didnt see you. been doing a bit of hosting there recently.

By the lords. I just encountered the worst gank threesome... All three have dragonslayer spears, at least two use wog, one has css. All have a ton of poise of course. I'm having some serious trouble figuring out what to do.

I've now fought them twice, and i almost got the host once. He ran into my chaos storm and i got a backstab soon after that. But then i got stunlocked and wogged

Ahhhhh - ok.I knew about spellswaping. I just haven't seen the various combinations.This games never ceases to amaze old Broke.
