    Stealth Overlooked? Empty Stealth Overlooked?

If you ever tested the SDCR and Hidden Body together, you would be stunned at just how potent these items are. You can avoid entire confrontations by simply wearing them since Hidden Body makes you impossible to detect unless you literally stand in-front of them and SDCR causes you to make no noise, which prevents them from turning when you sneak up on them. In addition, enemies give up chase extremely quickly with Hidden Body. Simply being out of lock-on range is enough to make them lose you (With exceptions).

Yet, which such potential I have yet to see 1 player utilize this sorcery even once in PvE. You can literraly just walk past the 2 Man-serpents in the beginning of Sen's Fortress and they won't so much as lift a finger.

Yeah I never realized it until like my fourth run through, but on speed runs stealth is amazing when making a new character. You can pretty much bypass a level, rest at a bonfire before the boss to get better spells or just go melee/bow, and kill them. Then head onto the next one.

I think the majority of people here make offensive builds rather than defensive or stealth builds because there is a large amount of organized fighting where these sort of tactics just.. aren't really logical to use within this community. More often than not people are posting their duel builds rather than invasion builds it seems.

There was/is a covenant run by fruitpunchninja I think, which focused on stealthy assassinations. And there are a good number of 'stealthy' youtube invasions and ideas. Its just not something discussed as opening I think, its not so much that it doesn't exist. Mostly I just use the combo in the catacombs to avoid the bonewheels...

EDIT: HURP, I read utilized in PVP.. my bad.
also, tolvo, are you cycling through your old avatars haha?

Vegeta's(?) low level sorcerer run basically uses and praises hidden body the whole time.

    You should check it out.

Stealth makes wonders in PvP when outnumbered. Most encounters I had with groups of gankers when invading, I managed to win not by dividing and conquering (because most of them are smart enough to keep together), but by hiding, wait for them to come by, and then BAM, jump right on top of them. Of course the target is the host, because if he dies, the rest dies too.

I have recently done this, and recorded it, though I didn't compressed/edited or uploaded it. So it will have to wait. But yeah, you can check my channel later and you will see what I'm talking about.

One thing I've wondered was if Hidden Body had a more powerful disguising effect than Ring of Fog. Like if it worked old Thief's Ring style from a far of distance.

I love making stealth characters for PvE, it's a nice change of pace from my normal playstyle.

SDCR and Hidden Body together are so useful when you just wanna run through an area and avoid all the enemies.

I very much enjoy using the Thief's Ring in Demon's Souls for PvE and am glad we have even more options for it in Dark Souls.

Hidden Body makes the Capra Demon boss a lot easier if you like playing without a shield and no poise.

I just lure Capra to the entrance and fight him there without alerting the dogs.

I did a PvP invasion Stealth Build.
It worked wonders! But people scoffed at it & said it was cheap. sad

I did feel a little dirty playing it.
