    two types of Parry Empty two types of Parry

    Post by Glutebrah Sat Sep 08, 2012 12:26 am

    so, i came across this while doing google searches on parrying.. this might be old news for some, but i never heard of it before.

    type 1:
    standard L2
    the point it registers is in the mid to tail end of the animation

    (======registers here==)
    *parry animation

    type 2:
    L2 + forward tap
    the point this parry registers is very close to the start of the animation

    (==registers here======)
    *parry animation

    does any one have experience with that?

    My parries usually do succeed more if i'm moving forward and then parry rather than staying still.

    its not moving forward and doing a parry, it is tapping forward and L2, like you tap and R2 for a kick

    That works well for the MLGS 2H R1 spam (hard to parry with regular L2).

    yeah i was about to say this is old news! happy

    the other parry is similar to a kick, and you should use it after taking a hit on your shield and parrying the next one. works vs certain slow weapons.
