Shiva's Iron shield in PvP

Debating this shield in PvP with a longsword. The theory is that heavy deflection would make longsword stabs more lethal. However,s omeone online told me that it's not very good as PvP calculates deflection differently.

So can anyone fill me in on this? Is deflection not worth having in PvP? I mean, if someone is knowledgeable, they just won't bother to attack the shield, but they have to attack some time, and Heavy Deflection sounds like a good idea...

Thoughts?

Deflection doesnt function in PvP. at all. get a better shield

from what ive seen in works on halberds for sure but only if you one hand it.

Meh I'll use it anyways because it looks awesome.

Hopefully he deflection after the patch will work like it was intended to, I Use it a lot mainly cause it lookso awesome.

I'm pretty sure it works on rapiers and 1h spears too. It's not a great shield but I like it a lot, shame it's crippled by its weight.

It looks real nice, that's reason enough to use it IMHO.

In my experience, against other players (and my Greatshield), its not fixed/
