Yeah so you dont move at all and wait to face them, the pivot or pull for the parry!
It has worked for me. I mean I got chained to death about a dozen times.... but then i managed to pull it off and a RSTR Great Demon Machete riposte to a **** ton of damage!

yea its def worth to try, the way i see it is Chain backstabbing is all a 33% chance guessing game for the BSer.
you have 3 options when you stand up. 1. roll away 2. roll towards 3. try and parry.
to chain BS some one that rolls away is when you line up behind is back and attack at the right time as he rolls (this is the type of set up a chain BSer would get punished by the parry)
to chain BS some one that rolls towards you you just lock on and sprint at the guy and the lock on will turn you towards his roll fast enough to BS at end of roll.
and then there is the guy that will predict you might try and parry and pivot around you as you get up waiting for you to parry
this video talks about the different types of Chain Backstabs and how to prevent each one, but its all rock/paper/scissors so there is no one method that is full proof for either side.

there is no full proof 100% way to do it, and no full proof way to escape it, all rock paper scissors. that video is very informative, covers everything except the parry technique, but you can see how the parry technique won't work for every chain BS method
the roll in or roll away is probably the best. that no movement one can get u hit by regular r1's /stunlocked/what glute said to another backstab if u get stunned/css/gc/tempest- fill in the friggin blank.
i found that thing useful when fighting more than one person tho.. u can usually tank the first hit and roll into the other guy facing u.. other then that, not really down.
