How do you think the DLC updates will affect PvP?

From what I've seen of some of the changes, it's going to impact PvP as it is like a *****.
With element weapons getting nerfed once again, the widely-hated DWGR being rendered little more than a novelty, and a few popular weapons being nerfed, PvP is going to change in a number of ways.
What do you guys think is going to change?
Will it be better or worse?

Give me a clue as to what I'm in for when I return to Dark Souls from my romp in Demon Souls.

as long as bbg isn't touched, the community will adapt around it or move on.
if they nerf that they'll nerf the playerbase.

I think it'll change the PVP landscape way more than we originally imagined. Lots of people are gonna have to learn and create new tactics, and we'll probably see a huge influx of crazy styles, fighting to become the new "optimal/competitive" build till one comes out as 'the best'. It'll probably be a dex weapon, seeing as they're the go to 'pick up and fight' weapon.

Alot of medium armors with the rfap + havel ring combo to get the fast roll. I heard all rolls got "buffed". Anyone know the specs? Hyper armor? increased invincibility frames?

Won't bother me though since i use a GH and am already used to the ins and outs of mid rolling. A tip to all ppl out there, back stepping will become your new friend. FYI int builds are going to be OP. If the wiki is right, S scaling at 13 int :shock:

Flipping mask tanks will be medrolling nerfed mask tanks. They may change the zwei/BKGA for a katana. Oh and I see lots of 2h spears users coming along the patch.

Lightly armoured STR builds rocking fast roll with Havels and RoFaP.

Mid Armoured Dex Builds rocking the Gold Tracer in the off hand (though true Ciaran fans like me would have been using it anyway)

perhaps less BSing, if the nerf to hit boxes was put in, im not too sure about that.

And lots of Obsidian Greatswords.... AoE attacks will be griefer popular.

spears now bounce off of shields with the patch so spears won't be as popular.

They're getting rid of the bb glitch, which could mean a lot of things for the playerbase. personally i think it will just mean people won't waste time remaking the same build every few days and promote trying out different builds instead, but this whole issue will very much divide opinion.

I think it will improve the game, less elemental weapons, more scaling.. though this could result in the done thing being buffed weapons rather than elemental, which could be quite nasty, however i think people will hopefully not fall into that.

The most obvious thing i think is that certain ring combinations will replace the usual fap/dwgr ring combo.. i think that havel/wolf will be the main one, though havel/fap will probably be very popular too, and the fast roll will be a much more common sight than it is right now on consoles.

Only time will tell with these changes though, I suspect PvP will change for the better though, with the arena bringing in more categories of PvP sls into play as well, i think there will be much more diversity in builds about than there is right now. I think PvP will become far more interesting because of the patch and DLC.

well youll still have random invaders with an arena and with the nerfs it will force those flippers to become better players
