Could the Thunder Stoneplate Ring become commonplace?

With the Artorias of the Abyss DLC introducing the Arena (which splits people into SL brackets of 50), it seems that SL 100 will become the most popular SL to PvP.

With the lowered stats, I believe a lot of people will still put 40 into both Vitality and Endurance (maybe more) and begin to rely on Lightning Weapons even MORE. With that being said, could we maybe start to the the Thunder Stoneplate Ring as a viable Ring option opposite of the RoFaP and Havel's?

Then everyone will start using chaos weapons, then people will use the flame ring, then so on and so forth until the speckled ring is best. If it does happen it will just be a passing phase till people start circumnavigating it. Thats if it actually has a big enough effect to be noticed.

I wouldn't waste a ring slot for TSR. Better off on SSR or just focusing on dodging and parrying attacks.

elemental weapons apparently get nerfed in the DLC game.. i don't think that a ---plate ring would ever become common place, there's far more useful rings out there like wolf, havel, favour and protection, red tearstone etc to ignore them for just a fairly insignificant amount of defence

I'm aware that they are nerfed, but I doubt that will make much of a dent in the Lightning Weapon userbase considering how many there seems to be.

yeah, but despite that dub.. are you really gonna choose 50 extra defence against lightning damage over a ring that lets you carry more, or gives you 40 poise?

It was just a thought really, something to debate over.

Even at moderate HP levels, RoFaP is still overall better.

Most people will use RoFaP and Wolf Ring.

As a mage, I natutrally use RoFaP and Bellowing Dragon Crest Ring.

anyone ever treat ringlosts like extra armor slots? at most you can get 50 phys and 25-50 of elemtal res, if defense didn't hit deminishing returns they'd be pretty useful but....

anyway the likely new buidls will be sorcery users to take advantage of the new seeking spell or the shotgun spell and will use the mlgs too... the counter of that will be not gmb because the new spells deal physical damage... maybe iron flesh... or mid rolling tanks with havels shield...

On my 3 builds i use RoFap+Wolf/Bellowing/Havels

Just one of then use elemental weapons (so i can Medium roll with my gear + wolf ring) i had a lot of arena fights at SL 100 and i dont usually see elemental weapons :shock:

Because as early as 70 elemental gear starts to lose out against solid damage scaling weapons. I've been trying to find the level group where the division between +15s and elemental weapons meet as equals.
