Occult & Divine?

Quotes straight from wikispaces:

Divine means holy damage. Divine weapons, thus, are strong against
undead creatures. For example, when getting invaded since phantom is
invading, and is undead divine deals more damage. (needs confirmation)

Occult is unholy damage and is strong against Living. For
example, when invading host is alive and takes more damage from occult. (needs confirmation)

Have these statements ever been confirmed? Or they do not really work in PVP at all?

They don't work. You probably could dig it up somewhere on these forums, but it's been tested. There is no difference between the two on any kind of phantom as a host, and on any type of player as a phantom. It's only for PvE.

martyr tested this. There was essentially no difference. He did not test PvE though.

I tested them and it doesn't do poop. They're good if you'vE 50 faith, theyre pretty much the same damage wise so go with whatever you like best, I always go occult cause it sounds cool.

I dunno, my Velka´s rapier does alot less AR than my enchanted falchion but Velkas has an 110 occult modifier and somehow it does alot more damage on Backstabs and ripostes. Seems to me the occult IS working.

I've tested it and there is no difference. You only see a difference in PvE.
