On a scale of 1-10, how busy is the non arena PC souls, No spoilers.

So yeah, I mean I get lucky and get an invasion every hour or two. For me, the PC dark souls is so dead, its just terrible I can go to the Kiln, the Burg, Anor Londo, THE FOREST and can't invade anyone consistently. It sucks having to wait, even when I use the Red Eye Orbs.

BTW, what soul level are you speaking for? And where do you like to play? I'm 99, and its so dead, I have to vote 1. I hope it fixed up if that's the problem.

I'm not exaggerating by picking '1.' Yesterday I played for... I can't remember now... 4 hours, I think? Human the whole time. SL 70ish. Not 1 invasion.

Getting summoned has been mostly impossible too. I know the people are there and trying to summon, but it isn't working right. From might have broke something. Something important.

Not only can I not get summoned or invaded anymore, I can't even see any player shadows. Not even seeing orange signs. I'm at the Kiln right now at sl90, human, collecting some chunks, but if that isn't broken up by the occasional summoning or invasion it's too boring. Besides, it's really eerie playing Dark Souls without even seeing other players' shadows. A creepy kind of lonely.

I think I'm going back to my xbox or ps3 for now. I'll treat the PC as straight pve unless I happen to be by the Arena.

*EDIT* Kind of funny. Left my guy standing at the Kiln for about a half-hour while I did other stuff. Just went back and saw 1 orange sign on the pvp platform. It says, "Need tough enemy." Hilarious. Some other guy sitting there going through the same thing, probably.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but didn't DS have the same issues, even worse when it was released on consoles, where Multiplayer was practically non existent? From still has to work out the kinks in the multiplayer, like they did in the console versions... Also i think GfWL isn't really helping the case either, just my two cents.

Yeah, 1.03 Dark Souls was terrible, the PvE was better and harder, but the PvP wasn't there.

I get a decent amount of action as a darkwraith at sl 46. I've mostly been in Oolacile, but Anor Londo and the forest have been giving me some PvP as well. It was a bit faster on the Xbox, though.

My story:

I capped at SL 99 because of the arena bracket. Never getting invaded even in the forest or anywhere else, never finding pvp in the arena.

I decided to level to 120..and bum...perma invaded in the forest..i could not even quit the game cause people kept invading me.

The game/GFWL or whatever the cause is having a really hard time with Summons or Invasions: they keep failing..But at least 120 seems active.

I considered leveling up. I really appreciate that input, and I think I will. We'll see.

It definitely hasn't been as busy for me as it was at the start of the PS3 version. I've not been invaded, ever, and still can't summon white phantoms/sunbros.

The most action I've seen was someone gravelording in Oolacile Township last night. It looked like they were only doing it to take advantage of newer players inexperience though as they were bombarding blue phantoms with crystal magic when I invaded, flasking and backstab fishing. NO bows or anything just came straight at me.

They were completely caught off guard when I dodged the magic and took him down in 2 swings of my longsword lol. Only gave 2000 souls

In the arena I've only managed to get into duels but not many. Can't seem to get a death match or team match going at all. Currently level 70.

I'm level 97 and it is bit dead comparing to ps3, i don't think that it is happening because the lack of players, Steam says that at least 8000 players are playing every hour which is enough for sustainable pvp, the problem is that the game is failing too much to connect players, i'm trying to get invaded on burg and kiln and i can clearly see the matchmaking failing, the fog appears on doors and then disappears indicating the failure to match.


Another reason is that, on ps3, much more players are playing end game content while on pc a lot of players are begginers just trying to beat the game, lets give them a few time.

anyways the pc pvp outside the arena would be more dead than consoles anyway due to less traffic... to be honest i think that the consoles post dlc will be good too. it means we'll have specialists doing both the arena at the specific level ranges and the good old fashioned in-situ fighting at the classic pvp level of sl120

If you want pvp action, go to the parish at level 10ish and invade .

Did that last night. Successful invasion every 2 minutes or so. Of course, pvp action at level 10 is...meh.

Anor Londo is probably a hotspot, as usual (I'll try it tonight). And the new areas get plenty of action too it seems. I got invaded twice there, at SL60-ish. Getting invaded in the new areas is kind of a pain due to the nature of the new enemies...

I'm at the oolacile sanctuary bridge right now and I have had about 15 successful invasions in the past 1-2 hours (at SL70). So that's not too bad. However, most people I invade are new to the game; I've only had a couple of good duels so far.

The new magic is very powerful.

i've gotten invaded quite a bit in Anor Lando and also in the new DLC areas. Other areas haven't been quite as active however =[

It's good to see that I'm not the only one who literally gets zero other player interaction. I'll see sporadic messages, and I saw one ghost of a guy in full Havels with the Mask of the Father, but that's it. I had the Cat ring on for about 2 hours, I've opened all my ports, I've left summon signs outside Manus for about another hour, still nothing at all. Frustrating. I even went and stood in the arena for almost 30 minutes on various trapdoors, nothing. I'm gonna go try gravelording, but my hopes aren't high. If anyone finds any new information, please post it here.

i pvp aroudn the sl 35-55 bracket ( 45 sl myself ) and im always gettign invaded, and always invading. Sometimes i use a red eye orb and i insta invade people in sens or the depths, or when i stand in the woods as a human i cant get a break.

so you peopel saying pc is just for pve, your wrong, you are jsut stuck thinking that the old pvp spots are goign to be the new ones...

fyi, arena sucks, and im sure many people share that opinion as i fight plenty of people who could do just fine there

lower level pvp, try bieng SL 30 and using the red eye orb in the depths , or bump up 5-10 levels and go to sens, i even had insta invades for about an hour in blighttown untill i went to the depths ( slowing muck, mehhh)

its a matter of high traffic areas, people invade lots there, and plenty of people fish for invasions too.

again, i have had 0 issue pvping, its just summong people and the stupid amounts of sumoning failed i get in the process, but tis definatly not for a lack of signs

Yeah I'm not going to do that, invasion at low levels is really boring, in my opinion, if that's the only place to play other players, then PvP is dead.

Even running through on my second PvP toon, barely any summons, had several invasions in the burg when i was going through there, other then that, every area after that's been dead, it's depressing.

pvp is dead, in your opionion...

in mine, its definatly not, i have some really good fights at this level.

just because you cant have 50 in every stat does not mean you cant have good fights, in fact, lower level pvp takes more skill, this is not opinion, its fact based from plenty of experiance

Level range really does play a huge part in being able to interact with other players, was only around level 8 in the burg, place was beaming with summons, 17-18 all the way through to the beginning of anor londo after that... guess either there may actually be connection issues with the servers, or everyone powerlevels to the sky so they have less chance of getting smacked around 100 times.
