The Rate my Build thread

I'm creating this thread so we can discuss/rate and improve our builds based on everyone's opinions, PVP or PVE-wise. This should clean up the forums a bit and people can look for a quick response here aswell, so feel free to ask!

I'm going with to post mine first:

Vit 26
Att 12
End 40
Str 14
Dex 40
Res 10
Intelligence 9
Faith 50

You might say: why the Vit is so low? I want to make one of those glass cannon builds - really high damage, low HP, so I'm going with a +15 Uchi with max Darkmoon Blade and Power Within. This is also a Sephiroth cover guy, so I'm going all black and without a helmet. I'm going to use the Ring of Favor and Protection, since I'll stay at low weight, and Wolf Ring so I'm not stunned by everything. What do you guys think? Btw, this is a PVP build.

if you find yourself oneshotted a lot remove the poise ring for some thing to boost your damage other wise looks good if you can dodge. (im not really one to judge im only marginally okay at pvp)

Personally, I would lose the wolf ring for a dark wood grain ring then you could go with heavier armor which will raise poise AND defense. Imagine what you could do with 48 pounds of equipment vs 24.

I'll take those suggestions into account. Guess I'm already prepared to getting killed. A LOT, but it's going to be really rewarding when I win. There's a few requirements for the fun factor: no helmet and preferably light armor/medium which can be upgraded with Twinkling Titanite. The more black it looks, better, since this is some sort of Sephiroth cosplay.

Suggestions?

The Black Iron looks pretty good and has great defense. I'm an all in black with a quick sword kind of guy as well. You might want to mix-n-match for something with better magic defense though.

You'll need armoured legs and gauntlets as your chest will just have a bit of cloth..

for that i'd say you want black iron leggings (look most like sephiroth's leggings but have defense, tempted to say a heavier gauntlet but black iron again looks the part... Up to you but thats what i say.

i'd say poise from good gauntlets/legs using flip ring is better than poise ring and lighter armour

Is there any reason i should point out you'd wanna use washing pole for the whole sephiroth effect thing?

agree here, also if you will only use the katana and no shield I think you could up your endurance to the point
that you can use all equipment with 25% weight,use the wolf ring too, adding the poise from the black iron leggings and gauntlets you might get to 70 poise or near, also buy alot of green grass, you need stamina recovery when using katanas.

Although no matter how much poise you will get stagered so that is why mobility is more important always.

Well, Washing Pole looks the part but I feel it's too heavy on STR requirements. I might think about it, still. I'll probably use Grass Crest Shield on my back until I have souls to buy enough Green Blossoms too.

Btw mate, I cant read the first link so I cant really compare. You seem low on Dex/Fth if it's a Hybrid, I mean, 18 dex and 31 faith. I dont know if it's for PvE or PVP, but you could be doing more damage with something around 30 Dex and 40 Faith, then you drop a bit on Inteligence, unless you're planning to use the magic buffs instead of the miracle ones. Tell me more about your gear.

id say if you get the oswald cape or witch cape with black iorn gauntlets and black iorn legs you should be good for the look and kinda good defence, and since your mainly going for the look i would put in the str for washing pole,thats like the main trait you need

huh that link is defective, I'd wager the first is too, ignore them, I'll post manually as you did, sorry for the confusion

That's more like it then. Both look like balanced builds to me man. About my Seph build, yes, it's heavy on Faith because I need something to rely on regarding firepower, as a plain +15 Washing Pole will not cut it against tanks (over half of the PVP population it seems).

Edit: And pfft what kind of Sephiroth has 50 faith? He killed Aeris while she was praying and used Meteor .

The Shadow Garb looks like your best bet. Use the receding hair type with blonde color and the Moonlight Greatsword (looks a bit like Ultima Weapon if you ask me).
