Good build for Hunter

I am new to this game and am struggling with making a good hunter. What would a recommended build be?

What do you mean by hunter?

You mean as an archer build? You wanna focus on dex, or a 40/40 if you're going PVP. With dex you can use the shortbow for close-mid-ranged combat, and back yourself up with faster, lighter weapons to keep yourself agile. With a 40/40 you can use the composite and get more damage out, with the benefit of more weapons to use.

By 40/40, he means 40 Str and 40 Dex.

An Archer. I wan to use bows and katanas

Any specific SL? I've been rocking with archery recently, and I feel I could give ya a few pointers I learned.

Is SL Soul Level? if so if you could give me a breakdown of how to build him til like level 50 that would be great

well, if you're gonna throw in a katana as back up, I'd say just raise your str to 14, focus on dex til it's at 40 (you almost never wanna go past that due to diminishing returns)

For PVP, stock up on large and poison arrows, and learn to space yourself and fire when you know you'll land atleast a phantom hit. With poison arrows it doesn't really matter if you score damage, as long as the arrow lands so you can build up their bar.

You can also make a Faith or Int archer. 50 Faith or Int, enchanted/magic or divine/occult Composite Bow with moonlight arrows. Boom the hunter of the gods.

Would I need Dex also? or is would the bow be based off of faith?

No just base requirements (11 Str and 12 Dex for Composite Bow).

Dodge the spells or block them. She will get tired and will get close to you so you can hit her with all you got. Then she will explode if still alive and repeat the process. You cal also summon the witch, her sign is below the staircase. You need to be human for that.

ok. thanks. Im really enjoying bow and arrows, especially when i have the poison arrows. Wheres a good place to farm souls? right now im just killing the knights before the butterfly

I usually don't farm, just lay down my sign for jolly coop. My favorite is Gaping Dragon and Iron Golem, they give a lot of souls for each coop.

Butterfly strategy. Summon Beatrice. Set your controller down. Eat a sandwich.

Iron Golem too, just summon Tarkus and .. .
