save sl120!!!

Imo I think from really screwed up with the whole brackets thing, there Is one one toon that will go to the arena and that will be my high sl build. The rest will be sl120 and will fight in either FC or hunt gAnkers which my high sl will do too. So I'm asking you guys to keep hour sl120 and just min/max to keep your gear that you used, min/max as in optimizing no masks and bs like that. Really Youre dex shouldn't need remaking unless you still want a **** of poise, as for me the easiest thing to do with my str builds is to just make them dragons but I might have to remake maybe two. Keep sl 120 alive!!!

I'm probably gonna have to make two build for the arena if I wanna have some fun there, a sl 99 which people laughed at me when a mentioned it a while ago, that it should be the official sl for duels since it's perfect for balance imo and an sl 199 or 149. But yeah I will keep the rest of my builds which might need some tweaking but not remaking.

to keep my current SL120 exactly the same i need to get to SL149 actually.. like it takes exactly 29 more points in endurance to wear the same gear with Havels at 149 as i do at SL120 with DWGR

I've actually grown bored of SL 120. The Kiln is probably the worst place unless you like to be ganked, or like to fight orange juce drinkers. I made a soul level 21 and have been having a good time with it. If I find people who are just starting out, I'll open gates and generally give them a chance to fight the good fight. But I find a good amount of people who BB glitch, and I like to suprise them when they invade me because I usually have starter gear on. The hate mail comes rolling in when I kick thier *** because I have to spam great combustion and quick switch to my upgraded Uchi ot Great Scythe when **** gets real. Low level fighting is more funner.

yah, itll be sad to see sl120 totally gone from the pvp scene with the new brackets....
so cant be bothered making new toons....
i have also taken to low lvl fighting, its more fun and easier to make haha

I agree, rant. We can bring our 120's to the arena and win anyway, we don't need to get to 149.

Guy swe are forgetting something. The PC version doesnt have a 120 slot because the PC players are new, they've never had a set level before. Its possible that FROM could add a 120 slot for the consoles considering (Although its more likely to be 130).

I need not even adapt my strength builds to the changes in the DWGR - thats the beauty of never using that crap. It means that I am at an advantage when the DLC drops in comparison to many others who are used to the I frames of the DWGR. I will miss the 120 cap but 99 is just as easy, I just lose my auxiliary pyromancies :/

Yeah ghadis, I have been fighting people with higher sl than my 120 and I sill win consistently, most people just dent care about th sl20 cap and will just host the burg in their high sl toons.

I always thought SL120 was 20 levels too high.

Honestly i don't PvP a lot at sl 120 anymore, hybrids are just way to powerful.

You can make a pure build on sl 99 just fine, but hybrids are weaker than on sl 120.

I already have a 99 from Wyrms arena event...he is a perfect build for the arena so I am good to go!!

From watching quickly it doesn't appear you can meet up with friends in the arena its completely random...for people wanting to meet up with friends red signs will still be used widely!!!

Precisely. At most you can get a little bit more vit or end, but that doesn't help mush when you meet someone who can effectively double the damage of his weapon.

I have not read up as much as it looks like most of you have. I did see that the dwgr was nerfed so I assume that is what these posts are about. The point to sticking with any soul level was that everyone had to make sacrifices to make builds. Why wouldn't 120 survive? It has been the preferred sl for quite some time now and I doubt that will change. It just means that people will have to alter their setups. This brings things more in line with the original Demons Souls setup where you need to sacrifice armor for big heavy weapons. Why is everyone thinking 0 poise Dragonoids will be all the rage though?

Everyone says goodbye to sl 120 since the arena apparently is in brackets of 50. IE 50, 100, 150 etc.

I wasn't aware of that, but I seriously doubt arena mode will overtake traditional pvp. I hope not at least. I read that 0 poise will now grant hyperarmor, but I am not sure how that can be. I hope that is wrong.

We'll have to wait and see.
0 poise gives hyperarmor? That's new to me.

Yeah, damn arena! I agree glatts, most people will keep their sl 120(hopefully) specially if you wanna fight against your buddies .
