Red Priest Build (ASOIAF) help requested

I've been reading A Song
of Ice and Fire (halfway through a Storm of Swords, so no spoilers
please) and it occurred to me what a great match a Red Priest themed
character would be. The story has such a big emphasis on Fire and how
Fire is needed for the world to be saved form Dark. Plus (minor
spoilers) like Beric Dondarrion, the Lightning Lord, your character
comes back to life after dying, uglier than before (end spoilers). Plus
the Crimson Robes are the perfect armor for a Red Priest, and you can
light your sword on fire (Using a Charcoal Pine Resin, instead of
Wildfire).
However, I could use help building this character.
So far, my build is:
Class: Pyromancer
SL: 70
Vit: 34
Att: 19
End: 40
Str: 16
Dex: 14
Res: 12 (Base)
Int: 11 (Base)
Faith: 8 (Base)
Armor: Crimson Robes
Weapons: Longsword+15 or Darksword+15 with a shield
Rings: ?
He'll rely on melee to fight with a little Pyromancy to back him up.

Any advice for this soon-to-be awesome PvP build??

i don't remember any thing about that priests fighting style but... rolling ring? and probaby a defensive ring as pyro's secondary so you won't need a magic booster ring etc. power within? as isn't the dude kinda crazy? (read the books a long time ago and gave up after feast for crows) also a caestus that can be flame buffed if you get tired of swords.

how are you gonna get your character to poop out shadows? you should have it be female and name it melisandre

ahah! that can be the lvl3 grave lord spell, your shdow spawns a black spot that rushes at the target on contact it fires a gravesword from the ground! would be awesome!

THAT would be awesome, homing chaos shadow or something. i hope i didnt spoil anything, im reading a dance with dragons right now, i read all the books in 4 months, theyre really good. right up there with lord of the rings.

16 str, 14 dex, weapon +15 and buffed with fire. That won't be awesome pvp build since it will have low dmg. Work on it though.

Now Melisandra was mainly spells and fire wasn't she? The Red Priest I am thinking of was the bald guy wasn't he?? Sword? Or am I getting confused with the Drowned God? Either way great story and can't wait for the second series to be finished on TV.

I would add some dex for speedier spell casting though.

Well I'm basing him off of Thoros more so, so he won't need the ability to poop shadows lol. What I'm mostly interested in is maximizing his damage for pvp because I know his gear won't be top notch, so his stats need to be well distributed. I know I want at least 16 str and 12 dex for Drake Sword pve. Any advice for that? And yes, awesome series, and I'm only on book 3. The TV show is also epic! Can't wait for season 2!!

go with the claymore then you only need 10 dex and make it chaos.

I know elemental weapons are the best for damage, but I want my sword to be on fire at all times, and correct me if I'm wrong, but chaos weapons only lit up when swung, right? That would kinda take away from the roleplaying aspect.
