After reading how porty it is, it looks like something I have to pass on.

Unless there ends up being even more surprisingly effective mod support that fixes the controls and most of the other problems that plague it being a direct port, it isn't worth a full price PC game to me. I can wait a few months for content.

What I'm most scared is Namco will see this and think, "I guess Dark Souls isn't financially viable for the PC."

No, Dark Souls is perfect for the PC, crappy ports aren't/

Really? If you're using xbox or ps3 controller, how is it a bad port? you can get it also look DAMN beautiful with the resolution render pack, so I don't see why skip it if you got the chance...

My point really is that I might as well just sit tight with my Xbox copy, because other than a good patch, not much was improved.

Generally when a game is ported to another system not much is improved... it's just on a different system.

I don't see the point there. Unless you mean that it's being ported to PC specifically, which in that case you really need to give it more time so that modders can fix some things up.

As far as controls go its ok as long as you can lower your mouse sensitivity all the way down(literally) as its way to sensitive by default. From what ive heard game sold rather well on pc so far, hope it will help to find motivation for official patch.

While I agree that the port was ***, I wouldn't say to avoid it. I'd definitely avoid it if From pulls another barebones port next time round, though.
