Has anyone tried playing via Lan?

Especially Hamachi/Tunngle/Garena.

I'd like to help some newbie friends, without getting invaded everytime.

So if anyone here managed to play in Lan, please let me know.

I already know how to give Hamachi priority over GFWL but i'm not sure if it will work, because the game automatically puts you on Offline Mode once you do that.
