I have been shopping around tirelessly, and have found greatswords (Zweihanders and Flamberge from Demon's souls) for arount $300, it looks good, but the price is alittle to high for me. Any suggestions?

I used to collect custom knives, and got to know a few makers. It's sort of a mini-dream for me to commission a Silver Knight Straight Sword, but a true, quality production from a good maker would probably run $10,000 or more. That's about $10,000 more than I'm willing to spend, so it'll have to remain a distant dream.
Here's a link with some reproduction-type stuff. Claymores and the like. http://www.knifecave.com/fantasy/store/products/Scottish+Claymore+Sword/Macloud+Sword+with+Suede+Leather+Handle/PM901106.html

If you want a battle-ready sword, it'll cost you a great deal of money. Cold Steel Knives makes a Battle-ready "greatsword" (styled after the real life zweihander) for a lot of dough, but if you're looking for something authentic/useful it's probably close to the best you can do. If you want a cheap replica, you can find a million of them on google.

yea I've checked out the cold steel one, I guess I'll just have to save up for it, cuz a sword does no good on a wall, it needs to cut stuff in my opinion to feel loved.

Cold Steel generally sacrifices a small amount of decorativeness and authenticity for a lowered cost compared to true battle-ready swords, though they're no less effective. In my opinion it's the best choice; I own their Hand-and-a-Half sword and it's an excellent weapon.
