    new DLC Weapon expectations

    What is everyone hoping for/expecting in terms of new weapons (and armor I suppose)?? Do people want new more powerful weapons??? Or just new types that are equal in strength and comparable to weapons in the game now?



    I am sort of afraid of the new weapons/spells/armor being significantly better than anything in the game now which will A. not open up more customization and variety since everyone will use new gear, B. weapons are already powerful enough in terms of how fast you can kill someone, if they get any more powerful duels will become pretty boring. I can see the appeal to new more powerful gear from a PVE perspective but it will break pvp imo.

    I hope the new weapons will be just as good as the old ones, not better but fitting in different places and scenarios. Maybe some like the scraping spear of demon's souls and unique sort of things like that. Specifically I'm hoping for some kind of strong-ish consumable throwing weapon, perhaps a spear or axe as regular throwing knives aren't great outside of killing mosquitoes in blight town and poison throwing knives are a status item. I'd also like a few new fist weapons or even a new type of status infliction.

    A want a pole at least and that new stone axe specially and I want it to weight 10 and have an S in str with a total ar of 900 twisted

    My guess is that the weapons will most likely be on par with weapons you find in those areas accessible after placing the Lordvessel. Simply because that seems to be the most likely place for the new content to became accesible.

    Also, I hope we get some more INT weapons.

    i think a new weapon of each category would be cool big grin , but DKS is missing a descent two handed mace, just like those the paladins use (Like this one) and a straight sword that scales A with strenght just like the Balder Side Sword for Dex builds

    they def need some better strentgh scaling weapons that can be 1 handed. and they need a faith scaling weapon like the MLGS is imo.

    Grant requires a heavy stat investment in strength also. The MLGS doesn't need other stats then intellect

    They should bring back a sword similar to the rune sword from demon souls, make it scale with only faith

    make a res scaling toxin curved sword. two hand it and watch them die, note does not scale well with other stats other than res.

    they would have to add to pyro so i can be worth building around. people would choose sorcery over pryo 99% the time if both required stats to scale it.

    they would need lower the HP drain ALOT on power within at maxed pyro glove to compete with CMW, and add ranged to pryo spells

    But you could've picked a better pic than that pesth, that hammer looks kinda lame. I would love an axe like the crescent axe with much better sacking and no stagger.
